What are the MUST go to restaurants in Disneyland?

Well I guess I will put my 2 cents in too.

Blue Bayou has a very nice atmosphere and I would say at some time you should try it for that reason but it isn't a must do in my opinion - we tried it once and probably won't do again for some time but the food was ok but it did cost 125.00 for 3 at lunch.:scared1:

We love Napa Rose - 4 star and very nice and we have never felt out of place or underdressed even with our 12 year old daughter but we haven't tried taking the baby yet. My daughter gets a great filet mignon on the kids menu ($10) and loves it. It is pricey but a nice treat once in a while.

Steakhouse 55 is a close second for us too. (We love us some great steaks)

Character breakfast, lunch and dinners we prefer Goofy's Kitchen but haven't tried a lot of the others. We did like Lilo and Stitch at P. Pier for breakfast though and there were other characters that showed too. We didn't really care for Ariels Grotto but it was very crowded when we were there and we had a bad table so that didn't help the experience to be honest. I have heard that Minnies in the park is good for breakfast though - we are trying this next time.

We love Rocket Rods for some simple pasta, salad and pizza - it is just average food but we can feed the 4 of us for about 30.00 and it is cafeteria style so it is quick. The portions are very big. We usually share a salad, pasta and 1 slice of pizza and then get 2 drinks and a dessert of some type.

I have heard White Water Snacks at the Grand located by the pool is pretty good too for a quick cheaper meal and the portions are suppose to be quite large but again I haven't tried this yet.

I personally don't think Rancho was all that good but more because I have to have my Mexican Hot - and it was not hot after getting through the line and finding a table.

The Dole whip is good and refreshing and you must go to Pooh's Corner for a great treat - so many to choose from.....

It has been YEARS since I've been to DL (20+) so I know nothing about the meals there other then what I've read here on the boards. I DID get to eat at an offsite Rainforrest Cafe before, though. Have you eaten there?

The food wasn't wonderful, but I gotta say, it was SO cute! Every some odd minutes they have a "rainstorm" and then some other odd minutes the animals on the wall start to freak out. It's all...rainforesty!

I happened to go to the Rainforest Cafe in Nashville, and while there we watched a family of 5 be seated next to us. There was an older son (10-11?), and then two younger daughters(6-7?). When they seat you at the table the staff tells you that there'll be storms and such, and the kids FREAKED! They thought they were going to get rained on. Their parents encouraged their fear, telling their children that it's like at the grocery store when the water comes on to bathe the vegetables :rotfl:!! Even the waiter played along. That's not the best part. The parents had obviously been to the resturant before and actually pulled out ponchos for everyone sitting at the table :rotfl2:. One of the little girls looked around, saw that no one ELSE in the restaurant was wearing a poncho and was perplexed, but her trusted parents were sporting them so she put it on. Our family was laughing SO hard. I swear, when the track of the storm started (it starts with a crash of thunder) the kids flinched. The kids STILL didn't understand what was going on when no rain came and their parents finally started laughing. The poor little girl looked so dumbfounded.

After explaination, and the realization that our table was laughing at THEM, the kids were really good sports about it, and the family decided to keep wearing the ponchos because the kids said they wanted to try and trick some other people. SUCH a cute moment.

Something else you should know about the Rainforest Cafe, people order the Volcano dessert...A LOT, and I don't know how it is at DL, but in Nashville they yell "VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLCCCCCCCCCCCCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" all the way from the kitchen to where ever the person who ordered the dessert is seated. They do it LOUDLY. Watch out for that! ;)
