What are the "must eats?"

Another vote for a Dole Whip.

And one for a pastry at the French Patisserie (the French goodies are so much yummier than the Norwegian ones).

Our must would have to be a fudge dipped apple from Goofy's Candy Co. We go the morning we leave and get one for us and one for my mom. The crumbles on it varies but it's the fudge that counts. It doesn't melt on the drive home. We've had nuts, M&M's, and even oreo cookie crumbles on it before. They're all good to me.

What is Dole Whip? I keep hearing about it!!!

Dole whip is a pineapple frozen dessert...it reminds me or a frozen sherbet in a custard form. You can get it plain, swirled with vanilla ice cream, or as a float. It is sold in Adventureland, right across from Swiss Family Treehouse, as well as the Polynesian. Outside of DW, it is only available in Hawaii. A definite must do snack in Disney!

Oh, that does sound tasty! Perhaps another reason to stay at the Poly instead of the GF!!!

Boatwrights for breakfast!!

We're trying MANY new places this trip, so it should be interesting!!

Norway's bakery is great! I LOVE School Bread...its like cocunut custard pie in a donut! :thumbsup2

Wow! I thought they discontinued Dole Whip in the late 90's. It's back!

Makes our return trip in May even more special.

We ate at the new Yak & Yeti at Animal Kingdom on Thanksgiving Day '07 and absolutely LOVED IT!!!! We were a party of 9 (ages 4 to 28) and everybody really enjoyed it. I would also have to recommend Cinderella's Royal Table (for food and "magical-ness") and also Narcoossee's - it was sooo romantic and our food was out of sight! If you go, though, make your reservation during Wishes at MK because you can watch it from your table.

California Grill is a must if you are into food. Flying Fish is also awesome, but if it's crowded it can get kind of loud in there. The Brown Derby at MGM is also underrated; I really enjoyed the food there (excellent Cobb Salad). My favorite steak at WDW is at Shula's, but you can get Shula's in a lot of big cities so it's not exactly an experience unique to WDW.

1. Crystal Palace
2. Le Cellier
3. Rose & Crown
4. 50's Primetime Cafe
5. Sleepy Hollow (giant ice cream cookie sandwich)

we love boma at AKL, crystal palace, and 50's prime time is AMAZING! Oh and 1900 Park Fare at grand floridan because that has a great breaskfast buffet, and pooh and friends!

I prefer the strawberry swirl from the Enchanted Grove in the MK to the Dole whip. It's absolutely delicious and refreshing. :woohoo:

Wow-- I'll be eating the entire trip!

Thanks for all the great suggestions-- they'll be so helpful as we plan our days!

OK, if I'm hearing you correct, you're thinking about specific FOOD items at WDW that draw me every trip ... those little items I can't leave without knowing I've experienced ... so here goes:

1) Beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter ... preferably followed by a beer then a boat ride over to Downtown Disney.

2) A big soft pretzel at the Big River Grill and Brewing Works at the Boardwalk resort ... pairs well with the beer sampler (wait, is there a theme here?)

3) A Hot Fudge sundae from The Ghirardelli shop at Downtown Disney (nope, no beer to pair here).

4) Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe ... oh my!!

5) Since we're at the Poly, don't forget the Maui potatoes at O'Hana ... I'm getting excited just thinkin' 'bout'em.

6) A Rice Cream from the Kringla Bakery in Norway (World Showcase) ... to die for!!

7) An eclair from the Boulangerie Patisserie in France (again, World Showcase) ... see above ... still dying from AMAZING sweets!!

8) If you like fish n' chips ... the Rose n' Crown Pub ... don't forget a cold Harp's to go with them (otherwise why bother).

9) A chocolate (or Peanut Butter) egg souffle from the Cali Grill while watching the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle.

10) Don't forget to grab some Beverly from Club Cool at Epcot!!

I could go on ... and I'm sure I'll be thinking about it ... and will come back and add as inspiration strikes.

Thanks for the fun!!

Don't forget to grab a Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treat with the ears dipped in chocolate! DW and I fancy ourselves foodies, and we love V&As, California Grill, BlueZoo, and Citricos - an underrated favorite! For Buffets, we love Boma for dinner and Chef Mickeys (experience over food there) for breakfast. For specific items DW and mother in law weigh in with the following:

1) Grey Goose Frozen Lemonade at France :thumbsup2
2) Funnel Cake
3) Brat in Germany
4) Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe
5) Anything from Boarwalk Bakery (especially the chocolate croissant)
6) Creme Brulee at Artist Point
7) one more - my father in law loves the popcorn in MK! popcorn::

Our must eats every trip:

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary -the first night
Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary -closing! :guilty:
Tony's Town Square at the MK
Spirit of Aloha Luau at the Poly
Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL

counter service:
Sunshine Seasons at Epcot -great variety
Pinnochio's at MK -great secret tables/view!
Cosmic Ray's at MK
