I know this is a large resort and most people complain how it's so big. I thought I read that it can depend on your room location, too. Which parts of the resort are most desirable so I can ask for a room there upon checkin?

Thanks.

I haven't been yet, but I have asked this same question, and the response I got the most was that Jamaica Building 45 is a great location. HTH :earsgirl:

Martinique and Trinidad North are preferred locations costing $15 extra nightly. Jamaica is across the lake and many like staying there. You will find lots of suggestions in the CBR FAQ's listed below.

we stayed at martinique during our august 02 trip. it was quiet & relaxing compared to the old port royal hub. it was a walk to opr but we often jumped on the bus to get there for the main pool or ordered breakfast in.

Desirability depends on what you want. Do you want to be close to the food court? The main pool? On our last stay here, we were in Aruba. We enjoyed the lovely stroll over to the restaurant. I had my DGDs (one was 4 and the other was 7 months) with us and we preferred the smaller quiet pool right near our room. The grounds are beautiful, so even if you stay near the food court, be sure to walk around to take it all in.

If you aren't paying the extra for the preferred locations then I highly reccomend Jamaica buildings 44, 45, 46 or Aruba 51 they are across the lake from the OPR area I would estimate 5-8 minute walk over to OPR.
