i have a very daredevil 2yo (he'll be 2.5 when we go to wdw) and he loves going high, fast, etc on the playground... and would probably LOVE the barnstormer... if he's tall enough... anyone know the height requirements?
Oh no flames here, 2 years old is a great age for the barnstormer, once they turn three most of them want to ride the big mountains BTW my 22 month old princess missed the height requirement by a hair.. she was so excited and then got declined lol...next time
My daughter has been riding it since she was just shy of 3 and she loves it! Finally made the height requirements for BTMRR and Splash this year... my little daredevil!
now i'm excited for him to ride... i just know he'll love it!!! although i also have visions of us spending hours on the barnstormer... never leaving toon town... that would be torture (for me)! LOL!
fortunately, my big kids are big enough that they won't be tied to us, so they can go do fun stuff while we ride barnstormer over, and over, and over, and over... well, you get the idea! LOL!
Definitely now flames. My girls are daredevils and they like goofy's barnstormer but prefer the scarier stuff. My oldest was riding Tower of Terror at 3 and Space Mountain by 4 (she's tall for her age). She loved them! I hope your son makes it to 35 inches. My youngest (4) is only 38 inches barefoot and i am hoping she makes it to 40 by September! She REALLY REALLY wants to ride Splash, Big Thunder, TOT and Spiderman (at IOA). But two inches is A LOT in a couple months! Fingers crossed for you and me!
For all you worriers.... My 22mo just rode it last week. He smiled when we got on, but was serious the rest of the time. No fussing though or crying, just serious. I think he bumped his head as the video shows him holding midway through.
although watching the video, he squealed with delight when seeing himself. In about 2 weeks we'll test it again, but based on his past history, he will love it more next time. I think the newness of it was odd for him. almost all the rides he gets on he's serious, except the carousel.
and yes, he's a tall boy. I thought my DD5 was tall, but at 18mo, he was a full 2" taller than her. he's 100% on the height chart at the doctor. Me and DD are counting the months until he gets to go on BTM... woot...
There is no height limit. I've ridden with my 2 year old many times. I will say, I'm 6'1" and it's a little tight in there though. As long as you can fit, you can ride.

OH good! My dd3 is tiny for her age, she is just now 35 inches! Last year she was way too short to ride barnstormer! Poor thing wants to ride the mountains, but she is way too short! I know she will love barnstormer.
First time I rode GB I asked the cm what he thought. He said I was the perfect size. I'm 6'2 and 275. GB will not close for the refurb but will eventually be rethemed, probably to go along with Dumbo.
don't know if it will be interrupted by the expansion... i sure hope not...
there's definitely no age limit... my 88yo mom was ticked that we would not allow her on some of the bigger coasters or tower of terror (hello! i did not want to bring her home w/a broken hip! LOL!) so we "let" her ride the barnstormer... a few times... it was great fun!
