What are the evening temps in August?

Since we will be tent camping this August I am wondering what the overnight temps are. In Ohio in the summer they are usually in the 60's- low 70's at night so we always camp with an extra blanket in case the temp drops.

We tent camped last August and found the evenings and nights to be very comfortable. We brought a fan for cooling off the tent when we returned from the park, and then slept with a couple of windows opened just a crack. By 2-3 AM we were pulling up the sheet to keep warm. I should add that we put our flannel sheets on our air mattress and used a light blanket. We had no problems sleeping at all. Hope this helps. KQ

I live on the SC coast and August can get - well lets say steamy!!, but it can alsobe somewhat cool in the evening. I would count on it being somewhat warm, and be pleasantly suprised if it is cool in the evening.

The barrier island I live on gets the hottest and steamest (very humid) late July and all of August. We have children going back to school Aug. 9th and we are concerned that they will have heat problems in the schools (eveny with AC).
