What are the crowds like in September?

I was thinking of a suprise trip for OH's 50th birthday later in the year. Although his birthday is the end of November I don't fancy going then with it being Halloween / start of Christmas etc as it's likely to be busy. Although it would be nice to see the decorations etc I just don't think I'd cope too well if it was really busy!!

Having priced up I'm thinking of end of September, going on a Monday for 2 nights. So anyone have any idea how busy it's likely to be? We've only ever been in Jan or March before, it was a few years ago that we went in March and it wasn't too busy during the week, went in Jan this year and was very happy with the lack of crowds:thumbsup2

I can only find a couple of TR's for Sept but surely more of you have been then??

Cheers Suze

Very quiet (midweek anyway), and lovely weather :goodvibes .

We always used to go around the 11th September and it was always stupidly quiet.

We went the year after the 9/11 attack and there was around 2,000 people in the park the whole day. It was scarily quiet though as you could walk for ages without seeing another soul.

Thanks Elaine

Figured if we went Mon to Weds it would hopefully be quiet.

:thumbsup2 to warmer weather as well. I will admit I can't travel lightly:rotfl2: so when we went in Jan for 6 days I had trouble getting all the fleeces, jumpers, boots etc in the cases. So in theory less days and warmer weather means a smaller suitcase:lmao:

I'd love it if it was that quiet - I'm not anti-social I just don't like being pushed and shoved lol

It's very odd being that quiet...there is very little atmosphere at all. Main Street was really erie as you could hear all of the little sounds and noises.

It was nice not having to queue for anything, especially restaurants (although there was still a queue at Casey's as usual :rotfl: )

I went the last week of September last year and it was quiet. Everything was practically a walk on, Crush was even only a 25min wait late afternoon.;
