of getting the same room without requesting it? We just got back on Sunday and we had the same BCV studio #331 as my DD and friends had last June. That's ok but we've always had 131, 231, 327 and 331. We like the woods/Illuminations view but would like to try Spaceship Earth or pool view sometime. Maybe we'll get one in May . . .
Here are some highlights of our trip:
1. Didn't check in until 1 a.m. and the only studio available was a handicapped room. I said "oh no, I really need a hot bath tonight" and the girl at the desk offered us a room in the BC and brought us a refrigerator for the first night. We got to stay in that room until our studio was available the next afternoon at 2:30 p.m. It was kinda nice staying in the newly redecorated BC rooms and we had a lovely view of the Boardwalk.
2. SAB is awesome as usual. We spent 3 whole days there and loved every minute.
3. Went to the theme parks on Tuesday. Started off with MGM and did RRC and ToT during EE. I told my DD to not let me go to an EE park again. The last few times they have just been too crowded. Then on to MK. Unfortunately it started to rain which lasted until almost noon. Fortunately though the crowds weren't too bad. After a short nap, we went to Epcot and did MS and then to eat at Germany and back to MK for Wishes. I had seen it in October but this was my DD's first time to see it and she thought it was awesome. (Tip: Don't do the single rider line at MS unless the Standby line is more than 30 minutes. It was supposed to be a 10 minute single rider wait and 20 minutes on standby and we waited 30 minutes in the singles line.)
4. Weather was wonderful. Shorts and light jacket at night was all that was needed.
5. Went to stay at Universal's Royal Pacific Hotel for our last night so we could use FOTL at IOA and US. We checked in and were in line at IOA by 8:30. They let us in at 8:45 and we walked on everything without our FOTL pass. Left at noon to go to the pool and back to US at 4 p.m. The only time we needed FOTL was at MIB. We left US at 6 p.m. We hadn't been to US in almost 10 years and never to IOA. Don't think we'll go back for another 10 years as it just doesn't have the magic Disney has for us.
I forgot to mention our studio had a slight musty odor. We thought it might have come from the CM room next door. My DD said they noticed the odor the last time too. It disappeared once the AC kicked on or we opened the patio door for a few minutes. Also, water pressure wasn't the greatest this time.
We had a wonderful time mostly spent relaxing and reading by the pool! Now we're back and already counting the days until our Disney Cruise and BCV stay in May!!!!!!
