What are the chances?

Hi all! DH and I are planning a two day trip to DL the first weekend in October. Last time we went we upgraded to AP's.
I've checked the AP site and the rates at the DL hotels don't seem that great. Do they ever lower them after they have been posted?
On a side note we are going in August and the week we are there is one of the only 2 weeks they don't have th AP8 rate. I have never stayed on property and I would love to one day.

The AP8 rate only goes to Sept 30th. They may very well extend it past that date, or change it to AP9 at some point. I'd check in August for that.


Edited my post b/c I was telling you to look at a page that I obviously had only skimmed! Duh at myself! It does indeed show that one part of the rate goes to late July, then the next part starts August 16th and goes to Sept 30 (though what's funny is that the page before you click on learn more says 9/29). Silly me!

What's the AP9 rate? I have never heard of that one before?

AP9 would presumably be the rate after the current AP8 which has been extended several times this year. I got an AP8 rate for my trip in Feb. and have an AP8 rate for Sept., so there is no telling. As for the prices going down for the first weekend of Oct., it is hard to tell. Oct. was more busy last year with the Halloween stuff with more to be added this year. Plus, there are the conventions, and I think that that weekend is Gay Days weekend. It really is hard to tell. It seems that the prices start to fluctuate quickly as you get closer to your date. All of a sudden, the rates for our dates in Sept. plummeted. Then, it seems that they got the response that they wanted and raised the prices. I would recommend checking the AP site daily.
