So, we are not making any reservations, BUT we don't plan on having any sit down meals. My question is while we are there if we see a sit down place we decide we want to eat at is there a chance of getting a table?

When are you going? If it is during the busy summer months then you chances are probably slim to none. If you are going when it is slower that you might have a chance during a none peak dining time.

Depends on the place you want to go, the time of year you are there and the time of day you want to eat.

If it helps, Epcot's Guest Services (the one inside the park) has a message board that shows which restaurants have current availabilty. DHS has something similar near the board that shows the wait times. Don't know about MK or AK (AK only has two table service places anyway, three if you count Rainforest Cafe) but they have put a sign outside MK City Hall to notify guests when there is no table service dining available.

It is possible, but it is not advisable. We managed to walk up to guest services 2 years ago and got an immediate adr for Biergarten, but it was a weird time. I wouldn't plan on getting sat anywhere at a main eating time.

I think it also depends on your party size. DH and I usually don't make many ADR's and we eat sit down meals twice each day. The only ones I make are for places we want to dress a little nicer than park clothing. I figure if I'm going to dress for dinner I want to make sure I get in. If we go at a busy time like Easter then I have ADR's for everything. We will be there May 16-23 and I haven't made one yet maybe I'll call tomorrow and make a couple.
