what are the chances of booking last minute in September

We're currently in the process of buying DVC points at BWV with an estimate of early August for completion, from this forum I understand we'll then have to wait about two weeks for Disney to add us to the system. What are the chances of us then being able to book a one bed for two weeks mid September, we'd be looking to be back before the start of food & wine.

Two weeks? Probably not. F&W starts in late Sept, maybe 19 or 26. Subtract Labor Day and that doesn't get you much time.

Thanks, I hadn’t released there was Labour Day as well, although we could still fit in two weeks from 10th – 24th. Do people tend to stay the full week after Labour Day or just the long weekend?

Don't rule out Labor Day week - it's actually one of the easier Holidays to get a last minute reservation. You may be surprised at the choices you'll have. Good luck!

The closer to F&W, slim to none, but it never hurts to try!

Slim if you aren't willing to move resorts. If you are willing to move a few times, I think you'll be able to string together something - although you might end up with a cash night or two at a non-DVC resort. Two weeks is a long time on short notice to expect availability.
