What are the bronze looking discs on FoP?

I just took a screen shot of a video that was uploaded, and I haven’t seen the movie in ages but was thinking about watching it again soon. I agree that it’s no big deal and it’s probably just decoration based on their placement on the side of a rock, but I can’t help but notice them each time I ride and I figured it was worth a try to ask the boards. ;-)

Makes sense.
If you haven't seen the movie since Pandora opened, you should. You'll be amazed at how much they got exactly right from the movie. I know we were.

OK, just got back from a short trip; rode FoP twice (it's still the best ride ever lol), and I got to sit to the far right of the screen and I have an actual answer; they are drums! They play them in a very interesting way: a Na'vi repels by a rope and hits them with their feet. You can indeed both see and hear it. I also noticed more that they have other instruments (communication devices?), there is at least one large horn that they blow you can see and hear as well.

Cool! Thanks! I can hardly wait to ride again and will be watching for this. I’ve ridden FoP a lot and thought I had seen most of the details, but I most definitely haven’t.

Ok guys.... they are absolutely drums!!! I rode it last night for the first time in forever and you can hear them beat the drums as you fly by them.... thank you so much for helping me figure this one out!

My husband and I went back again today and I was on the right side and finally saw this, thank you!:love::love:
