I'll be on my honeymoon in August and as I am forever the designated pack animal I wanted to know what others might consider the easiest packs to carry with you throughout the day while in the parks...carry as opposed to LUG around mind you! ;)

anybody have any preferences?

thanks all!!!

:thumbsup2 I usually just use a backpack.. but this time I bought a sling style backpack and loved it.. it basically went over one shoulder, but I could put it over my neck and it sat sling style..

if you don't have kids going( and kind of assuming since it 's honeymoon you don't) i'd say the lighter the better... husband stuffs his cargo type pockets with what he needs, i take a 5x7" cloth shoulder bag i got in china in epcot( $5). it holds a comb, pass, chapstick etc. we have a 6x6x11 bag for my slr camera that is on a shoulder strap ( or locks around the waist but that is just a llittle too "old lady in Vegas" for me) but since i'm getting a smaller digital camera with a good zoom and no film it will be a bag 1/2 the size...we find we like shoulder bags the best as they can stay on you during the ride rather than having to remove them like you might a back pack plus they are easiest imo to get into plus more "theft repellent"

I was thinking a shoulder bag would be good too...like a messenger bag, that way I can sling it to the front in my lap for rides and such and it won't be a huge bother! Of course I have to find one that goes with my super cute honeymoon outfits!!! ;)

My DF does actually have two kids...6 and 5...we only told them about the St.Thomas Cruise portion of our honeymoon as I'm afraid his DD6 would refuse to speak to us ever again!!! (Minnie chose her to help open up Toon Town when she was 4 and she has never forgotten her close personal friendship with Minnie! :rotfl: We are taking them next summer!! Already planning the trip...as I try to plan my wedding as well...i'm a nut :teeth: )

anyhow thanks for the input!!!

I bought one of the baggalinni bags so highly recommended on this site. Looks like it will be great and it's not too big at all! Congrats to you on your upcoming wedding!

:lmao: :lmao: sounds like something Id do.. :lmao: :lmao:

I just couldn't face them after telling them that we were going to see Mickey and Minnie and they couldn't come...DD6 can be a marathon sulker on certain things and oh we'd sulk on this one...forever. It's easier to be selective when explaining honeymoon plans!!!

I'm getting the Ameribag sling--it's sort of like a backpack with one strap. My mom has one and swears by it and has convinced me. Does anyone else use one?

I usually do a backpack but on my next trip; and don't tell anyone; I'm thinking maybe a fanny pack. Shhh! I have had no problems with the backpack but want to down-size a little.

I have two Jansport messenger bags that I ADORE. Wear them over my shoulder, in front of me.

I usually wear a Tigger fanny pack but I swear all the extra pressure on my bladder makes me pee more!

The bags you guys are talking about that has a strap in the middle of your front - how does that work for women? Seems it would be a bit awkward for us?

I usually use one of those nylon drawstring bags that you wear on your back. It's light and easy to stuff with souveneirs :teeth:. There are some days where I'll just take my camera bag, and put the park passes, money, and sunscreen stick in one of the compartments.

I bring my backpack...we all take turns carrying it (not because it's heavy, just because it get's kinda hot on your back), and it carries everyone's stuff. I put my camera in it when we go on rides or go in to eat, it fits under my legs on the rides and it's big enough to carry extra clothes, my camera, our park maps, water bottles, sunscreen, and other small stuff we need.

Where did you find the nylon drawstring bags? That would be perfect.

I just ordered one for my August trip in LIME :cool1:. I hope I like it. I got the med because I am a pack rat and like to stuff everything in my bag.
