What are the Barney kids

I'm reading this post with such great interest. My first two children LOVED Barney and watched it over a million times. I recognized some fo the names on the links.

WHY don't they show pictures????? I'd love to see the pictures to help jog my memory???

When DD13 was 2, the ONLY way I could get out the door to work was if Barney was on.

And, thanks to this thread, I now have some "Waiting for Christmas" song from the Christmas video running through my head. Thanks SO much. :scared:

:rotfl: Sorry. :rotfl:

Michael had the lead in that song, didn't he? :scared:

Janette's niece was a Barney kid. She was Min. I think the last time this subject came up she said Min is in college and doing theatre. I always liked Min, she was the only one of those kids who could act.

That kid Michael is no doubt annoying the heck out of someone because he spent a good several years annoying me! Ugh, that kid was the most cloyingly annoying kid actor EVER (and he has some tough competition). :scared:

Min is the only one I remember by name, because Min has been my nickname since I was a kid. :teeth:

I thought he meant the kids that grew up watching Barney. :rotfl: :confused3 Don't know where I got that from.

I thought the same thing!:rotfl2: I was going to post about what my son is doing -- so don't feel bad!!;)

Cracking me up man. My son loved Barney when he was super little. :D I still have a CD somewhere.

I liked the old old old Barney. The new one stinks! Just not the same.

As juniejay mentioned Min / Pia is a relative. She did Barney for a long time like Micheal and a few of the others but just didn't look as old. She stopped at about 12yo; by that time she looked very different in real life than she did on Barney. She's very petite still so never looked too old.

Dance was really her big thing and she's been dancing a few years for a company in Chicago. Found out over the holidays that she's engaged and will be married sometime this year. Can't remember the date right now.

I guess they really do grow up.

MIN WAS MY FAVE! :)

I did always like Min. The worst were Kathy, Lucy and her sister OMG they drove me crazy

This just makes me think about all those hours sitting and watching Barney over and over.......

Anyway, remember everytime one of the kids would talk they would put their hand up, sort of like our smiley here :confused3 . My husband and I used to make fun of them. Everyone is right here, they are the worst kid actors. My children are 12 & 9 so thankfully no more barney.

I will never say anything bad about Barney because he was like drugs for my DS. We could put the Barney video in and we would be off for a quickie. That boy wouldnt budge from the couch. Without Barney, we would never have been able to make a sibling.:cutie:

DD#1 loved Barney. She was born in 92 so that's about right. Was Michael the blond older boy? I always thought he would come out of the closet someday. He drove me nuts. Lucy was the older girl and I think Tina was her little (!) sister. She had a broken arm for a while. I liked Min. Luckily for me by the time DD#2 started being interested in educational TV she adopted Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop as her favorite (sadly for too short a time before Shari Lewis passed). DS always liked Blues Clues best.
In fact this reminds me of a practical joke DD#2 played on DD#1, when #1 was in 7th or 8th grade. DD#2 found her old stuffed Barney, and put it in her backpack so when she got to school and went to unload at her locker, she had to take Barney out in front of her pals. WOW was she mad.

That's exactly what I did, then I edited it.:rotfl:

Well its true. Seeing PD (and you, for that matter), is like coming home after being away a long time. It just gives me the warm and fuzzies. :rotfl:

(ETA: I probably just set myself up for something with that comment didn't I?) :rotfl:

hey you tall sexy blonde, just go with the feeling

thansk for the links, my daughter was born in 92 and watched it all the time. I was kind of sad when she out grew it.

Oh yeah, I remember the sister. She had a starring role in our Barney Waiting For Christmas movie, that got watched about 5,692 times. :scared: :crazy2: There was another kid in that one named Derek who was in very close competition with those two for the worst of the bunch. Good Lord I shudder just thinking of those years. :scared1: I love terrorizing my boys about their long ago love affair with Barney and Friends. They try to deny it, but I still have the worn out tapes to prove it. :p

And "Waiting For Santa" had the scary looking Barney and freaky snowmen!!

Yep--Min was great. We liked Julie, too.

Michale was anoying, but I liked the little redhead kid and min, the older girl was kind of sexy :rotfl: , shes got to be about 50 now :lmao:

He was freaky looking in that video.

Thank you fabjelly for showing a link with pictures. Yes, yes, I remember them all now and it's neat to see what they look like now.

My friends and I used to make fun of Barney all the time. I loathe Barney even more now that I've got a kid who's just the right age for the show.

But even more than Barney, I hated the Power Rangers. It was so ridiculous and totally cheesy, but my brother LOVED them. He had a copy of Power Rangers Movie that he almost wore out and my mother even had a Power Rangers Jello Jigglers mold at one point. :lmao:
