We are a family of 4 going to 7 days in December. We have the regular dining plan and I want to try to hit the best and most fun restaurants for our trip if I can!

For something fun yet different try Boma at AKL.
Good selection of American food, yet plenty of different choices with African flavor.

Also if you have time do a character meal. Which? would depend on your kids favorite characters. (note: some can take 2 hours of your time to see all the characters that meal, so allow plenty of time.)

Personally our favorite breakfast is Whispering Canyon Cafe. If you get a good waiter, it's a ball of jokes and games with kids. Try the all you can eat platter. And make sure you ask for Ketsup and staws. :rolleyes1

'Ohana

and this next place is not that popular but it's one of Disney's best kept secrets for values....

Trail's End at Fort Wilderness, wonderful buffet! Great value :thumbsup2

Our alltime Disney favorite restaurant is Ohana. They serve all you can eat family style and you get a ton of food. They have activities that go on throughout the restaurant and it is also a really nice atmosphere with the open fire pit in the middle of the restaurant. We look forward to Ohana every disney trip.

We have a ressie for dinner at WCC, is breakfast better?

I will throw out a vote for Jiko. Food is great and its a restaruant you wont find like it at home.

After our last trip, we have decided that our absolute must-dos are:

Ohana dinner
Chef Mickey's breakfast
Tusker House breakfast

We love Ohana, and even better is if you can get ressies close to firework time, its the best! The pipe the music in from "wishes" and you can see and "hear" the fireworks. We discovered this by accident a few years ago and now its a must each time we go!

We also love BOMA! It can be difficult to get there if you are going via bus, but its worth it. You can spend a lot of time there eating and walking around the resort and looking at the animals in the Savannah area.

Garden Grill and Princess Storybook. I can't go to Disney for a week and not eat there. I'm not really a princess fan, but the food is worth the trip alone. I've always had the best character interactions at Garden Grill.

I like Ohanas but only for breakfast. It is a really great character breakfast with Lilo&Stitch. Not crazy about it for dinner though.....Whispering Canyon Cafe is good and fun too! There is always Cinderella's Royal Table if you want to go for 2 dining credits......I also agree with Garden Grill....Really good food and fun characters too!

A lot of people have mentioned Garden Grill so I thought I would mention that after October they will not have lunch anymore.

And I had wrote Ohana earlier and I mean to clarify I LOVE Ohana Dinner!

Our must not miss restaurants are Boma (dinner or breakfast - but especially dinner!) and Crystal Palce breakfast.

Our family faves:
Boma dinner
WCC dinner
Sci-Fi lunch
'Ohana dinner
Plaza
Chef Mickey's dinner
(We've done the bfasts at Boma, CM and 'Ohana, and the bfasts just fill you up too much. Good, but I just feel HUGE afterwards going to parks, etc.)

What we'd like to try:
Biergarten
Trail's End
Beaches and Cream

Our Must Eat List:
Breakfast
---Crystal Palace
Lunch/Dinner
---Coral Reef
---Les Chefs de France
---Biergarten

I love Ohana's for breakfast. We also loved California Grill! LeCellier was also pretty good.
