We are 2 adults who love rollercoasters. We also enjoy a lot of the shows at Disney. What are some rides/shows we should be sure to hit? Should we even bother going to the kiddie areas? Thanks! :)

Well, if you love roller coasters, Hulk and Dueling Dragons (IOA) and the new Revenge of the Mummy (USF) are musts.

Spider-Man (IOA) is still in a class by itself and Back to The Future (USF) is a rip roaring simulator that has yet to be equaled.

The shows at Universal are a lot "edgier" than those at Disney (Barney excepted).

Teens like the Horror MakeUp show (USF). Sinbad (IOA) is a stunt show filled with pyrotechnics. Back at USF, Terminator is a blast and the new Shrek 3-D movie is a real hoot.

Enjoy!

At Island's of Adventure

One show I NEVER miss is the Beetlejuice show, very, very entertaining, the singing and dancing is very first rate! All the previous shows mentioned before are also wonderful but my favorite is Beetlejuice in shows. Now rides, you have to try The Hulk and Dueling Dragons, best roller-coasters in the park. Spiderman is a unique experience, I haven't seen Shrek yet but hear its great. T2-3d is also a no-miss show. I would skip Twister, IMHO they missed the mark with that one. MIB and BTTF are also no-miss rides. I also never miss The Cat in the Hat, for a kiddie ride they really whip you around! Have a great trip!:wave2:

THe other posters have hit the mark with the thrill rides. Spiderman is a most unique ride and does have quite a thrill in it. Don't miss Toon Lagoon at IOA by thinking of it as a kiddie area. It isn't. There you will find two of the greatest water rides anywhere. Ripsaw Falls is a Flume ride with coaster elements with the best drop. Period. Bilge Rat Barges is an awesome river rapids ride. Nearby you will find Jurassic Park River Adventure, another water ride with an exhilarating drop. As everyone else said Dueling Dragons is a must and you must ride both Fire and Ice. I haven't ridden front row, but DH says it's worth the wait.

At USF, the Mummy is a must for coaster enthusiasts. If you get a seat in the last row, you will get lots of airtime.
I also wouldn't miss:
Shrek 4-D (funny 3-D movie with puts you right in the action with the added effects)
Terminator 2 (3-D show combined with live action)
The Horror Make-Up Show (Hilarious!...Don't miss this one!)
MIB (you are in training to be a MIB agent so you shoot the aliens and compare your score with others...can be addictive)
ET (neat ride with great theming you should go on at least once)
Jaws (it's a classic)
Catch the Blues Brothers street show too if you can.

...Bilge Rat Barges is an awesome river rapids ride....

I couldn't agree more. We all know almost every amusement park has a river rapids, but there isn't one even close to being as good as the Popeye one at IOA. Even the relatively new one at Animal Kingdom, with all the theming and the only true river rapids "drop" it doesn't compare to Bilge Rat Barges. Warning though, it gets you more wet than anything and it is rather violent at times.
