I am looking for some ideas for some wii games for my kids, 16,11 & 8. I have no idea where to start because they have not even asked for one. I was thinking about the new toy story game, but I'm not sure. Can anyone give me their top three games for the wii?

Thanks so much! :)

Our family loves Mario Cart, plus 4 people can play at one time if you have enough remotes. This week Super mario Bros comes out, and i think that one will be a lot of fun. We rented Toy Story, and didnt find it fun at all, my son and husband thought it was boring.

We love Mario Cart, Carnival Mini Golf, and Carnival Games. They are a lot of fun. We have DD's 6 and 8.

My kids are 8, 7 and 6 and they are all huge Mario Bros. fans...I pre-ordered the new Super Mario Brothers game for them but they also love Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. I also pre-ordered Mario & Sonic Olympic games...figured they would love that too.

Mario Kart is a must!! Only wii game that actually holds attention. Wii fit is also really fun (If you don't mind getting the balance thing.) Wii fit is worth it and you can play iit too!!

Another vote for Mario Kart...very fun...Carnival games are fun. We also like Outdoor Challenge too...

DS loves Lego Star Wars...he plays it all the time..

Do you already have a Wii? My kids still love Wiisports, especially the challenge games.

My suggestions would be: Mario Kart and Wii Sports Resort. If your kids are musically inclined, then Wii Music is fun, but it's really not for everyone.

My brother and SIL are both band directors, and both my older boys are in band. They all 4 hated Wii Music.

Mario Kart is great!! So is Mario Party 8 and we really like Disney's Think Fast!

I love Super paper mario, lego star wars, mario cart, and my wii fit. My 3 year old cousin likes to play wii resort.

My DS13 has asked for Wii Sports Resort. We also enjoy doing Wii Fit together. That is probably me speaking more than him. My DGS7 enjoys the Carnival Games we sent to him. A huge hit, of course, was Beatles Rock Band.

i like toy story mania. i only play my wii once a week or so, i could see how it could get boring, but i have a short attention span and was never able to finish zelda type games so i like that is over in a few minutes.

if you dont know what its like its arcade style games, many aim and shoot that you play in order or one at a time.

Sorry your very musical family didn't enjoy Wii Music, but my very musical family really likes it! We like to experiment with different tempos and different instrument set-ups for the songs, and we love to challenge each other on the pitches game. I still recommend the game, and I'm not saying that all musical people would enjoy the game, I'm saying that you're more likely to enjoy the game if you have some musical experience. If you're unsure about whether your family will enjoy a game, then rent it and give it a chance!

Sorry to jump in here....

For Mario Cart, does every player need their own wheel, or do you take turns? My kids are getting one for Christmas, and this game sounds neat. I want to have everything we'll need to start enjoying right away.

TIA

For Mario Kart you will need as many remotes as people who want to race against each other, up to 4 players can race at a time, so that would require 4 remotes. The wheel accessory is a shell that you snap the remote into, it's shaped like a steering wheel so it makes the game more immersive and for some people (like me) makes the game easier to play. The wheel accessory is not necessary for play, you can play with just the remote. If you don't have enough remotes for everybody (up to 4) then they can take turns, but I will say it is very fun to have 4 people racing against each other!

My family likes Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and Mario Party 8. My kids ages are 16yr, 9 yrs, and 6 yrs old.
