What kind of CS places are outside the Int. gateway? I was looking for somewhere different to eat lunch while we are at Epcot. I didn't want to have to go really far but I thought there might be some places near there. I have never gone out of Epcot on the Int. gateway so I do not know what is there.

Thanks:thumbsup2

Using the DDP or paying OOP?

DDP denotes that some of the places that I feel are more CS in both food and atmosphere, are actually TS's and you'd use a TS credit to dine there.

Paying OOP these places are very similarly priced to CS locations in the parks, and are more relaxed in feeling (and serve better food than CS locations in the parks)

ESPN is good, as is Beaches & Cream. I've also heard good things about the Pizza Window at Spoodles.

The ONLY CS location in the Boardwalk/YCBC area are (and by CS I mean CS on the dining plan) is the Beach Club Marketplace. I don't know if Hurricane Hannah's takes DDP or not.

If you are not on the DDP, there's also the Boardwalk Bakery, Spoodles pizza window, some snack kiosks at the Boardwalk, and Picabu at the Dolphin. That's it. Boardwalk and the Yacht Club have no counter-service restaurants. Beaches & Cream is at the Beach Club, but it is a table service. They have a carryout, but you can only carry out ice cream.

I would recommend sticking with Epcot.

I would think that if you are not on the DDP and you wanted to take a few more minutes to sit down and be served, you'd be fine at Beaches & Cream or ESPN for a burger type lunch.

Yes, it may be more like a quick trip to Applebee's vs going to Mc Donald's, but the food is very good at both places and as I stated before it's similarly priced to CS locations in Epcot.

I guess it depends on what you're looking for in your CS experience..

DDP Credit? - As Nala said, not much in the IG for you

Stand up to get your food, carry it to your table, eat and go? - Not much outside of the IG for you.

Sit down for a burger, have it delivered to your table, spend about what you would at Epcot for a true CS experience OOP - any of the suggestions from the PP's.

I can say that my kids got themselves lunch at Hurricane Hannahs's on the DDP in December and the Boardwalk Bakery had snacks & CS on the DDP though the choices are very limited and not easy to figure out.
