What are people from the north wearing now?

We are coming down from Long Island on Friday and am wondering what people have been wearing? Do I need all jeans, or can I wear long shorts/capris with a sweatshirt? It looks like low 70’s, here it’s been 20’s so it should feel warm!

It's been warm until a recent cold front brought it back to the 40's/50's about yesterday. I personally would mainly pack shorts and shirts, but also bring a pair or 2 of jeans, a jacket, and a windbreaker

I was in Disney for a company meeting last year and I remember it being nice during the day in the sun, but it got very chilly at night. In the 50’s but felt colder because it was pretty windy. The water from the fountains on the Dolphin and Swan was blowing down on to the walkways. We are going this year (family trip this time) in about a week and I am trying to convince my husband to pack warm clothes for the evenings. He thinks we won’t feel cold compared to how it is here in Philly right now but I think 55 with wind feels pretty cold after you’ve been in 75 and sunny a few hours before. For me I think that means I’ll bring both a long sleeve shirt and a fleece jacket for an evening in the parks, and I may go with jeans instead of cropped pants if I’m going to be staying at a park from daytime to nighttime.

Do you stand outside in one spot for an hour at a time at home?
That's what can happen nightly waiting for and watching fireworks and evening shows.

Oh, and don't forget the high humidity levels with 20 mph winds. That can chill you to the bone!

We always bring at least one pair of jeans, and a medium weight hoodie. Particularly in the morning and the evening, it can feel quite cool - even to these Rhode Islanders!

All good points. I tried this on my husband but he’s not convinced. It’s fine, I’ll pack warm stuff for me and the kids, he’ll have his Eagles sweatshirt and he probably will be fine (if not he won’t get to complain since he’s been warned!).

Definitely jeans and a jacket for evenings. We were there last week and though it was warmer than Illinois where we're from, it does cool off a lot once the sun goes down. I was fine with jeans and a lightweight shirt during the day...didn't feel the need for shorts. But we rented a locker each day (best $7 spent) and left our warmer jackets and returned to get them late afternoon.

Where are the lockers located in Epcot?

I'd sneak in a pair of his jeans and a sweatshirt/hoodie into the luggage. I would put a short love note in one of the pockets. This way he'll know these were packed with nothing but love.

We're heading there at the end of the month and are hoping it will be at least a little warmer than here. But we'll be prepared for a little of both. I remember evenings especially can be chilly. If nothing else, it gives me an excuse to shop, as if I need one! :)

As you come in the main entrance, I believe they were to the right before you get to Spaceship Earth. They are clearly marked with a large sign.
Thanks for the info! I will either carry a tote with my fleece or use the lockers.

Will you guys fly with your winter coat or leave it in the car at the airport?

We were there from 1/14-1/25 wore our winter coats for about 1/2 of our vacation. It was cold in the morning and sometimes the entire day. There were also 2 days we wore shorts because it was in the high 70's to 80. We checked the weather before we left and were prepared for all types of weather. I wouldn't leave a winter coat behind at this time of year. I had read someone post that the attire was stretchy pants and puffy coats which was the truth.

I’m going to pack 2 shorts, 2 jeans, 2 Capri pants for this week. How does that sound?

We're going in a couple of days. Weather looks like it will be high 70's low 80. We'll be wearing summer clothes with a hoodie for mornings and evening. Hoping to even get to a water park!

I was there on January 27 and wore lightweight capris, a t-shirt, and a lightweight jacket. Most of the day I had the jacket around my waist, but when the sun went down I put it on and it was just right. I live in Montana, so it's pretty dang cold here in January.
