What are peak DVC times? Slow times?

The generalization I seem to get is:
Highest Demand from October to April
Not as much demand from May to September

Thanks a lot! If my daughter makes it to Nationals for tumbling this year, we will be in Ft Lauderdale from June 18-22. I thought to surprise the kids afterwards, and head to Disney instead of the airport. Do you think I would be able to get a week long ressie 1 or 2 months out? We own at AKV and prefer to stay there, but we aren't picky.

Why not book now - as long as you cancel a reservation at least 31 days in advance, there is no penalty. I wouldn't borrow points to book a "spec" trip, but wouldn't hesitate to book one otherwise.

Good luck to your daughter.

there really aren't "slow" times anymore.....just busy to crazy busy ;)

holidays and special events are crazy busy (F&WF thru thanksgiving thru dec holidays thru marathon thru F&GF and all the school holidays). as CaDream said, may thu sept is less busy (for ex: i have had to waitlist non-holiday april and may dates every year at 7 months....most i have gotten, but a few i've not. reason is we save our BWV points for the "crazy busy" F&WF, and use our BCV/SSR at 7 months for spring at the BWVs).

carol has the best solution (of course:)): if you don't need to borrow, just book it now and cancel if needed before 31 days prior.
