What are my options?

Booked a 2 bedroom at SSR in October, but could only get first 6 days. Need last 2 days but everything is taken (from studios to GVs)! Besides waitlisting, what are my options? I'm not overly confident a 2br will open for 2 weekend days during F&W.

You can book 2 rooms at another resort as a back-up plan. I believe the cancellation policy is 5 days prior to arrival. SSR is a big resort. I think you have a good chance of popping off the waitlist.

You can have two waitlists. Perhaps put in a WL for a 2BR at one of the other large, non-park resorts, such as OKW or a Kidani Savanna View. You could also check Mousesavers for discounts at the DTD resorts during that timeframe. I agree with robinb, you have a fairly good chance of a WL coming through.

did you book at 11 months? If so why didn't you booked the 7 nts you could, than wait a day and add 1 nt. I'm guessing you booked after 11 months.

Go on the website and keep checking. I stalk it everyday. Two different trips managed to put together my trip. Including New Year's Eve

Did you call MS to see if the room was available to book for cash? Expensive, but you'd have the 2 nights. You also would be able to keep the waitlists and if they filled then cancel the cash nights. You also could book for cash thru CRO if available. The reservation couldn't be linked like it could be thru MS but most likely if you told them at check in that you had 5 nights on points and 2 nights on cash they could keep you in the same room.

You can have up to 2 waitlists - and yes, they can be for the same dates.

If one of them fills then the second one will automatically cancel.

We booked at 11 months, but didn't have the points to cover Friday and Saturday. Didn't want to rent points because we found a contract that was perfect for us and wanted the money to go to that. We just closed this week so about another 2 weeks before they're in our account.

I'll probably book a couple of rooms at Caribbean Beach and WL SSR.

We have been going to F & W (Columbus Weekend) for 8 years, w/friends & have booked 2 bedroom@our home resort, SSR 11 months out. As the venue has grown in popularity it is harder to secure those rooms. Our friends have tried to join us, after the 11 month window & everything is full.
