What are my chances?

of adding free dining to my last day? I originally booked four nights at POP on the day the promo began but wasn't able to find airfare back at a reasonable price (flights too early also) so I tried to add another day but there is no free dining available at POP on that day. There are no value resorts available for the 5 nights during our stay (8/26-31) at all! Only moderate available was Caribbean Beach for a whopping $170/night so can't do that either. Anywho, I booked a room only on the 30th for our last night.

What do you think the chances are that something will eventually appear open? The CM actually laughed at me when I asked. This would be the first rude CM I have ever encountered in all my years of Disney vacations so I just let it go, lol. The CM yesterday who had originally put a hold on this "fifth night" room until I could confirm my flights told me to keep checking back.

What do the experts here think?

Not that it will necessarily happen this year, but last year more openings came available throughout the promotion. I would not count on it, but there is a possibility.

'Slim to none and Slim just left town', as my grandmother used to say. Even if somebody canceled their trip for that time, you'd still be out of luck. Supposedly, if a code room is canceled it goes back into the general inventory of rooms, not back in as a code room. At least that's what several CMs have told me in the past.

However, as someone else posted, last year Disney did open up more rooms and extended the booking period. If they do that this year, you may be in luck. But, with all the Bounceback Programs and email/postcard codes Disney used this year, I wouldn't count on it being extended.

Try and figure out when 45 days out are for your package as I understand that is when people will cancel without any penalty....I bet if there is any chance at all for you to add that day on it will be at that point. (hope this made sense)

Just did a package for your 2A, 1C(11) with 6 Day PHs tickets at CBR: $1,679.

No other Mods or Values come up. Last year we booked in early May and still got CBR, never tried for a Value. Guess I'm glad I booked early and got the Value I can afford this year.

Septbaby: I was also offered CBR, but it is NOT a value. POP century is $82/night, CBR is $170 (almost triple) which is not in my budget unfortunately

What if you look for availability for say 7 or 8 nights? I ask because I was going 9/20-28 and want the 29th (POP). No go. Booked until the 30th and its there! I will drop the 30th later on (WAYYY before the 45 day mark)

Yep we switched to POP a few weeks after the the free dining was offered last year. Just call back every few days and say you would like to add a day. You already have the reservations just say I would like to add a day.

Never thought to add a day or two and then cancel. I don't understand why they would have rooms available this way but hey, why question why? Thanks for the help. I am going to keep checking back with them every few days, can't hurt. Brenda

I made sure it was available online first... it was so I called and did it. You can check now and put in a longer stay.. you never know! I couldnt understand why it wouldnt let me add 1 day.. but let me add 2? Whatever, it worked!

Not sure if this helps you but I called yesterday and changed my reservations. I was booked under the bounce back offer for POFQ for 9-21 to 9-27. Last night I adjusted it to POFQ for 9-20 to 9-28 with free dining and added WP&More to my 7 day hopper tickets. Amazingly it only added 100 dollars more to my total package. It works out perfectly since we will do DTD only on our arrival day and later do one full day of water parks only and do a WP/MNSSHP one day.

Adding here for reference sake my total package for everything except the MNSSHP is $2347.70 or basically 100 per person per day with free food. I know thats not in everyones budget. But I manage it on a measly public servent salary by saving and using my Dsiney Visa w/ 6 months free intrest to pay it off over time.

Now I have to hurry and add some ADRs to my list.
