What are my chances....HHI at 7 mnths....

We are hoping to have a week at HH in July of next year (not 4th July week!!) but can only book 7 mnths out as not owners there.

I know it is their peak season......so what is the likelihood of me getting a 1 bed during this mnth? Would love to hear all your experiences, good and bad!

Last year I was able to get a 1BR for the week prior to Memorial Day at 7 months with no problem. Good luck!

Last year we tried to get 5 nights, 1 bdrm at HH the 2nd week of June. Began trying at 7 month window and got 2 of the nights - Friday/Saturday which were VERY high point nights. (You think onsite WDW has a point difference on weekends, you should see the HH spread!! Yikes!)

Went on waitlist for remaining 3 more nights either before OR after that weekend, we were very flexible. About 6 weeks out we got 1 more night, nothing more ever came open.

This dosen't sound too promising!!! What have other people's experiences been? Would I have more chance getting a 2 bed? I don't know how many of each unit type there are at HH!

Our first trip to HH was booked at the 7 month mark. We were able to get a 2 bedroom. Definately call day by day -- as early as possible in the morning.

I booked 7 months out during Christmas time. I don't know if it made a difference or not, but MS was closed some of the holidays so I only had to call a couple of times to secure our entire week.

21 Lockoff 2BR (i.e., 21 possible 1 BR and 21 possible Studios).

Nearly all of the 1BR and Studios are in the main lodge.

We got HHI for 8 nights in June (10-18) 2 bedroom, by calling day by day at the 7th month window...

I am not sure if July is harder to get..... but I would give calling day by day a shot.

Is it possible to make a cash reservation and then cancel that and pay with points if it becomes available? Does anyone know how much it is per night in July for a 1 or 2 bed?

I got a studio for the first week in June this year at 7 months.

Typically, It is easier to get studio,1BR,2BR BEFORE June 10th or so, after that, I would say it is ALMOST impossible. Now, the cavet is 2BR are more available, and Fri/Sat nights are usually open due to high points.

I would not say forget it, but highly doubtful June 10-Aug 3-15....
