What are my chances for these ADRs

Hello all. I am planning my once in a lifetime trip to WDW for this coming October and I am wondering how likely I will be to get the ADRs I am dreaming of. Since there have already been some disappointments for this trip (Wishes will be gone, my favorite ride from Disneyland will be closed and I was so hoping to ride what some say is the superior version) I am thinking it is better to know which ADR's I am unlikely to get so that I may be less disappointed if it doesnt happen. My Dreams Unlimited travel agent will be booking for me and my ADRs are for a party of 2.

I am hoping for:

Tusker House ROL package-dinner-5:00-6:00ish Sunday 10-1

Rose and Crown as close to 7:30 as possible Monday 10-2 This is my birthday and I want to eat on the patio and watch illuminations

Be Our Guest lunch or dinner any time Wed 10/4

Be Our Guest dinner lunch or dinner any time Thursday 10-5 (hoping for 1 lunch and 1 dinner this week but which on which day doesn't matter my hope is to eat in different dining areas)

50's Prime Time Friday dinner Friday 10-5

So what do you think-will I be able to get the ADRs I am after or should I hope for the best and expect the worst.

The toughest one will be BOG. If you don't get it when your window opens up then keep trying. We got one about 8 weeks before our trip. Everything else should be doable. Keep in mind many ADRs open up close to or the day before you want it due to people cancelling.

There's absolutely no reason that you shouldn't be able to get those at 180 days out. The only somewhat hard one would be BoG, but if you're good for either breakfast/lunch and there's only 2 of you...it really should not be an issue.

I don't think you'll have a lot of trouble. We are doing a BOG lunch during our trip. I booked right at 180 and got exactly the time I wanted for my party of 3. Good luck!

You may have to do Tusker House earlier. Not because you won't be able to get 5-6, but ROL packages are required to be at least 3 hours before the show, and in October sunset is just after 7PM. So ROL shows will start well before 8. I would expect the dining packages to be mostly lunches.

I agree with @_auroraborealis_ your Tusker House will need to be earlier. Also even if you get the time you want at Rose & Crown that doesn't mean you can be seated on the patio. Patio tables can only be requested at checkin & are the Luck of the draw. They can neither be reserved nor guaranteed.
Starting at 180 + 10 I never got a BOG Dinner last October. And I checked several times a week.

I find it so much easier to eat where you want at Epcot and be out in time to grab a spot for Illuminations than pinning all your hopes and dreams on winning the table lottery.

For me its the only way to see the show and eat a birthday dinner-we are west coasters and so 9 at night FL time is 6 home time which is already a bit of an early dinner for us. Eating any earlier and I wont be hungry and thus I wont really be able to enjoy the meal or my birthday cake but doing table service inside anywhere at dinner time and we wont get to see illuminations. So if I cant get an outdoor table for illuminations then I likely wont have a birthday dinner at all or else I'd miss the show. I guess it would save me a bundle on ordering a cake-no sense in having a birthday cake with out dinner.

WOW. Long story short. There is NO GUARANTEE that you will have a patio table with a view.
Good luck

Are you staying onsite? If so that will give you a small advantage. If you can book all at once try for the BOG dinner first for both days you can do it. Then BOG lunch, then rose and crown, then tusker house, then 50's which shouldn't be too hard.

If you don't get what you want just keep checking. With only 2 you should get it eventually!

Wow. That's stinks. I assumed the draw had died down. I got a reservation for first week open on the first day you could call in (2014.) and we had 7 people. I have been for dinner and lunch and didn't like either one. But everyone has to do it at least once. Like CRT, I took both daughters once.

I'm confused I thought you put a 7:30 ressie time in this??

It's important to note that R&C won't let you wait for a patio table (everyone asks for one), and that having a celebration noted isn't known to help (everyone has a celebration noted). If you don't take the table they are willing to give you, you will be charged the no-show fees.

Being able to see IllumiNations from a patio table at R&C is so popular that many-many-many people make this same request which you cannot make until you check in for your reservation. Sometimes they will let you wait for the table, but at other times you will have to take the first available table for two. It will depend on how busy they are, how many have already made the same request and are waiting and the restaurant's policy at the time you go. While it is your birthday, there are thousands celebrating a special day/event/milestone at the same time so it probably will not help to get a patio table.

If you are seated inside or at a patio table without a view of the lagoon R&C is the only restaurant with a viewing area adjacent to the patio for just their diners so you can let your server know you want to go outside to see the show and they will pace your dinner accordingly.

Which ride? I feel most rides are superior at DL

Splash mountain- I love love love it! I heard that the WDW version is better but I'll never know since it's going to be refurbed. I missed the DL ride on my last years birthday trip since it was being refurbed at DL last October too. Nothing to be done for it though.

My plan was to have a drink or two and an app to waste a bit of time so I could get there earlier but still eat later. One of the draw backs of the time change is I just won't be hungry are the regular dinner time. Well that and how hard it's likely going to feel getting up for rope drop. :scared:

Thanks for the tip that seems like the happy medium so we can have an enjoyable dinner and stil get to see the show.

Once in a lifetime trips are so much pressure because it's your only chance to get it right. There are no do overs.

There are LOTS of people on this board whose once in a lifetime trip turned out to be the first trip of many.

While it would be nice if it were the first of many I'm pretty sure it's the only one. I had to get a second part time job to get the money for this trip-a second job that takes away from my ability to do my best work at my first job to some extent. It's not something I can keep doing forever. But never say never I guess I might win the lottery or find myself more able to afford it later in life. I'm luckier than most though-I live fairly close to Disneyland and get to go a 2/3 times a year. That would be a dream come true for many.

My wife is curious as to where you are seeing it will be refurbed? She said it's not listed online anywhere. Or is this just a usual refurb that happens every year?

I can confirm, yes, Splash is better at WDW. One of the few rides that is. I prefer sitting next to someone and not having knees knocking in to me. Not to mention, the ride is longer, the story is more fleshed out. That's one ride we're looking forward to on our upcoming trip.

Totally! I have never said this, but some friends of ours came on our last trip. They hadn't been in 20+ years and were only doing it so their daughter could experience it once. They were convinced they were going to hate the trip cause they aren't super big Disney fans. They LOVED it and now they're going again with us in 5 weeks!!!!
