Hi All! I was wondering what are Good hotels near Disney that do not cost an arm and a leg?

Also if you can give me your reviews on the hotel that would be great:)

Thanks so much in advance!

Hi!

It would really be helpful if you could give us some more details about the type of property you want:

# of adults/kids in the group
desired price range
ammenities - pool / room service / distance to them parks / internet / kitchen / restaurants near
length of stay

"Arm & Leg" is relative. Where I live, you are hard pressed to find a decent hotel room for under $110 per night. And this time of year rates are in the $160 range. So if I found something for $100 per night, I'd think it is great. Other's would think $100 is way too much to spend. If you'll be staying for the week, you might also consider renting a vacation home or condo. Recent posts re: Skyauction have been pretty good, and people can get 2 bedroom condos for under $400 for the week. Dreams Unlimited also has some info about a town house development, Seven Dwarfs Lane that is brand new. The few reports here on the DIS have been good. The slower seasons are priced at $99 per night for a three bedroom. Pretty nice to have your own adult space, so that you can put the kids to bed, and still enjoy your evening. I've seen that same development have units available for $499 for the week when renting from a private owner.

If you are trying to maintain a tight budget and you are traveling at a slower time, you might consider using Priceline and/or Hotwire.

Good luck!

Just got back on Tuesday from an 8 night stay at the big PINK hotel. I cannot begin to tell you how pleasantly surprised I was with this hotel and its location. We have not stayed off property in almost 20 years, so it was to my dismay to even book somewhere else.
I the hotel was extremely nice, clean, has an awesome pool, 24 hour food court and is less than 5 minutes from the entrance to Downtown Disney.
We stayed in a suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. However, there are also King suites with a King bed, and sleeper sofa in living room. All of the rooms are suites and have a small fridge and microwave. Internet access was only $6.95 for a 24 hour period. Best of all the 1 BR suite (whether K or Q) ran us $99 a night plus tax!!!!
Granted that was a special on Mousesavers, but I think they run that special pretty frequently.
They have an awesome website that you can check out. Needless to say the pool was a real winner, especially with the kids. It has a beautiful waterfall along with a slide that they would not get off of!!
Also, as a side note it is a business convention hotel, and very large. I had stood inline at the airport for a rental car reserved through AVIS. I was the 7th person in line and it took over an HOUR to get my keys!! So, when we arrived to the hotel (about 15 min. from airport) I was shocked to see 2 great big tour buses had just off-loaded!!! I was behind a minimum of 45-50 people checking in. I told my husband it will be over 2 hours at least.
I could not believe it when after only 20 minutes I had my room keys and hotel brochures in hand. Those people knew what they were doing!!
Now, I must admit, I felt like a Resort Snob because I felt we lost a little of the "magic" by staying off property. BUT my DH and kids said they don't care if we ever stay anywhere else again!! So, now with the dining plan changes we may not!!!
Sorry this was so long, but hope it helps! Make sure to check out their website, it is just their name .com!

I was wondering if you used the bus system to the parks or even if you didn't can you tell me anything about how it works. Thanks.

Well, we rented a car so we didn't use their shuttle. However I did see many people waiting at different times. I don't think their waits were too long.
Sorry that doesn't help too much. :confused3
