What are fastpasses?

Sorry, i know this must've been asked lots before but i've been reading libbys report and they sound great, do you have to pay for them, or what? How exactly do they work, can anybody get them??

Everyone that has a park ticket is entitled to use the fastpass system. The bigger rides have this system in place. What happens is that you go to the ride you wish to fastpass (say it is space mountain) and you will find fastpass machines which you put your park ticket into. Along with getting your park ticket back you will also be issued with a white ticket with a time slot on. This means you can return to this ride anytime in that time slot and you get into the fastpass queue instead of the regular queue and you will have little or no wait.

You can have fasspass ticket for these rides - Peter Pan, Indiana Jones, Thunder Mountain,Buzz ans Star Tours.

Each person need a fastpass and you can only have one for each ride at a time. As soon as the time slot expires you can get another one.

Fastpasses do run out on busy days
