I just read on this board about E nights at WDW. We are going on our land and sea in 10 days and I was wondering what they are and how do you fing out which nights are E nights?

Enights are WONDERFUL!! :)

They are special nights where resort guests can purchase a ticket for an extra $12 (or so) to stay in the park once the parks close for an extra 3 hours or so - and they keep only the "e Rides" open... (SPace Mtn, Thunder Mtn, Splash Mtn, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean... etc.) .... Only about 5000 people (max) are allowed in, so there's NO waiting whatsoever!!

We try to hit one of these on every trip.... this way we don't spend time during the day waiting for the big rides when everyone else is. WE can do the other rides...

We did an E night a couple of years ago and it is worth the effort and money to do it. I rode Splash Mountain like 10 times and never exited the ride.

Just in case you'd like to know where the name "E" nights came from -- years ago, at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland, you had to buy tickets to go on the rides. The tickets ranged from "A" tickets to "E" tickets, with the "E" tickets getting you on the best of the best rides.

You may have heard the expression "That's an "E" ticket" which kind of means the cream of the crop or the best.

That's where it came from!

witch brings another expression to mind, you learn something ner every day!

The Passporter Guide to WDW rates all rides & attractions from an A-ticket to an E-ticket.

Thanks for the tip. I had never heard of this before. I will definitelty do it at least one night. My parents and my in laws are coming so it would be great to leave my little ones at the resort and just go on the rides with my hubby. It would be like dating again. Now I am even more excited. Thank you!!!!

My wife and I did E night several years ago when we were at
WDW. We had our DS ( then 6 ) with us and put him in Cubs Den
over at Wilderness lodge for a few hours while we went to
Magic Kingdom and acted like kids for a while, riding the E rides over and over. Its a blast and well worth it. The one thing you may want to consider though is this. With traffic down at the parks recently, they dont have E nights every night anymore , so you want to research this further and plan accordingly. Good luck and enjoy

I guess the authors remember the individual ride tickets, too! :)

E nights are awesome! We did it our first trip to WDW & loved it! You can ride the rides all you want! We rode Splash Mountain twice & didn't even have to get off! I hope next time we visit WDW we are lucky enough to have an e night during our stay.

It looks like we didn't answer the second part of your question - how do you know when they are?

Well, you can check here - http://wdwig.com/ohours.htm

It doesn't look like there are any E-ride nights in May before the 27th. :( Do check with your hotel, though, as this could change.

Grad nights are when the park is open only to high school seniors there with their class, in case you were wondering. :)
