Hi, I live in the UK and here you guys talking about codes and rack rate all the time. What are they, where do you find out about them, who do you call to book and can I do it from the UK or is it US residents only. Thanks to anyone who can help.

You can find the latest code in mousesaver (www.mousesavers.com). Some code is specific for certain state resident but there is usually general availability code. When you call WDW reservation, mention the code and if the room allocated for the code is still available, you should be able to get the discounted room rate (off the rack rate which is Disney's published rate without discount). Hope this help.

Thanks found the page, is there anyone who knows if uk residents can ring and book direct or anyone who is from the UK who has booked direct?

What you can do is use the Disney specialists recommended by mousesaver.com. I know they have clients in your country and it can save you a lot of time and (hopefully) money.
Their name is Small World Vacations (web site is on mousesaver.com but you can also go to WDWVacations.com).
We used them this year and they saved us about $800.00 over the rack rate. They changed our original AAA discount two times to get us the lowest price possible. They also made our priority seatings for us. This would save you a lot of money on telephone calls alone.
The best thing is the service is FREE!!!!!
I will never again go crazy looking for discounts and codes when they can do this for me.
A really great service and nice people to deal with.
You can use their web site for a free quote.....no obliglation until (and unless) you tell them to go ahead.

Thanks for that, have emailed off for a quote. British travel agents tend to fleece us for our money when it comes to Disney, just wondered if they could do it cheaper. Thanks again and fingers crossed

Yeah, but part of the fun, and headache, is doing the planning yourself. I've noticed that when I piece our vacation separately, it comes out be cheaper than going with a complete package.

So how dp you work it to make it cheaper? Do you ring disney direct? Or is there some other magical way I dont know about?

You might check www.allearsnet.com/pl/breakeven.php to see if annual park passes might be good for you. With the annual passes you may qualify for 40% of the rack resort room rates. This discount would depend on when you are going and the availability of room discounts.
