what are chances for HH at 7mo in summer

I'd like to try to get HH at 7 month window for summer of 2005(already have ressies for nov 2004 VWL). What do you think chances of getting a studio or 1 bedroom are? Has anyone had success. Is one month easier than the others? June, July or Aug? Thanks...Sue

I had no trouble getting our ressie for this summer 7 mos out. I did make it day to day first thing in the morning.

July is a bit difficult if you want Sun-thurs. We did get three days in July 2002, but really had to be flexible about the dates. It was the first summer visit for us to HHI and we love it soo much(we had been 4 times Christmas- NY and once in April)that we decided to add on at HHI just to get some points for summer at 11 months out! This year we decided in January to go for a few days in the summer and tried again at 7 months to book and were only able to get a Mon and Wed , but we were able to book the tuesday for cash with member sicount and it was $112 for 1bedroom. We changed our minds and are going to Willimaburg for the whole week instead. So, it is possible , but difficult, especially if you want 1-bedroom; 2 bedrooms are more plentiful. By the way, you will love the resort!

I got june/july last year, august this year. studio-7 month window. my call coincided with the 7 month mark from the last day we will be staying (1 call for all days).

I got a 2 BR in August, 2004 at 7 months out.

We had no problem booking a 2 BR at the 7 mo. window for the 1st week in June this year. Actually, 6/5-6/9. It's hard to believe we've already been there!

Just FYI, our kayaking guide told us that we had picked one of the best weeks to be there. Right after Memorial Day and the island wasn't terribly busy. He said another week or so makes a big difference. The fireworks put on by the Shelter Cove Harbor Association started the Tues. night we were there and they were really nice.

This was our 1st trip to HH, but it sure won't be our last!

We were successful in getting Sun - Thurs at 7 months for the second week in August 2004 to "wind-down" from our trip to the World.

Up until about 2 years ago, HH in summer was essentially never available at the 7 month window. Then last summer and this, there has been more availability. Expect this to be a short lived window of opportunity for mid June to mid August. Even then, a 2 BR will be much easier to get than anything else.

I had no problem getting a 1BR at the 7 month window for the Sunday-Thursday before Memorial Day.
