Hi everyone
I think I remember reading somewhere on these boards people talking about these, I didn't know what they were and I was at a sporting goods store today and saw them and I still don't know what they are, Do you drink out of them? Does anyone take them or recommend them for WDW?:confused3

I love the CamelBak bottles. Use the 32 oz and the 16.9 oz bottles at home. You could use them at WDW but they do NOT filter the water. They would work if you use flavor packets though.

I think they are a good idea but personally we just have a case of water shipped to our hotel. Camelbaks are just one more heavy thing to have to carry around at the parks.

They are nice but as one other person pointed out it is just one more thing to carry or wear into the park. Trust me, everything no matter how light gets heavy after 8 hours in the parks.

We take in two water bottles in the morning and when those are gone we get the free cup with ice. Sounds cheap but works great!

A Camel Back is a water reservoir that you wear on your back like a back pack. There is a tube that runs from it that you can clip to your collar or other part of your clothing.

They are used by hikers, bikers and others that don't want to stop to pull out a bottle and drink.

I can't see how they would help at WDW unless you were super commando.

I am leaving in 7 days and I plan to take my Camelbak yes it is one more thing to take in the park but we usually take a back pack with water bottles in it and the spot that holds the water reservoir is insulated so my water stays colder. We are driving so we are taking 2 and half gallon water jugs to fill them up with.

We used them on our trip (with our kids ages 9, 4, & 2) for several reasons:

- For us, it wasn't really "one more thing to carry" because we needed a backpack anyway. We also found them to be cooler than a regular backpack because they were filled with ice.

- With two pre-schoolers it was nice to have drinks whenever they wanted one. I know CS places give out free glasses of ice/water, but it's not always convenient to find one and wait in line. We did get cups of ice when we stopped to eat to refill our backpacks.

- We also didn't have to worry about the kids spilling or washing out sippy cups while in the parks.
