What are Bingo lines like on a full cruise?

My wife and I played bingo on our half full March cruise on the Dream and we absolutely LOVED it! But, the 2 times we played were also the two longest lines we waited in all cruise (even the Aquaduck barely had any lines). It got us thinking, if the cruise were full, how early should we arrive to ensure we get in? The first time we played, all seats looked occupied, so I can't imagine the interest on a full cruise.

In the Navigator, there will be a listing for when bingo sales begin usually about 1/2 an hour before bingo starts. Be in line before that if the cruise is full.

Lines are long!! We will normally grab a drink from Bon Voyage and head to get in line 45ish minutes early.

Oy! I mean, it's still worth it, that's wild. I'm curious, do they have cast members monitor line size so someone doesn't get in line, wait 45 minutes and then find out they are at capacity?

So they still only have small jackpots? 2hat were the prices of the cards?

They had jackpots in the hundreds when I sailed a few weeks ago. That's definitely more than the price of cards. It was the same as pre-pandemic Bingo, except that they didn't have a final jackpot game, or even the cheesy "$10,000 if you cover your card in X number of calls". I'm hoping that when distancing is a memory, they'll start hosting a final jackpot game in the theatre again. Otherwise Bingo will become a less common indulgence for me. It feels a bit like they're cheating, not offering a final jackpot game, and Bingo is much less exciting without it. I hope it's just a distancing issue and will revert to normal soon.

We've always enjoyed playing Bingo on the DCL, but lining up for an hour to get in ....there are so many other things I can be doing with that hour... you'll can take my spot.

I don't remember bingo ever having to turn people away pre covid....did it fill to capacity back then?

I was on the March 19 Fantasy sailing with a friend. Passenger count was about 2500. We played every afternoon (did not play in morning sessions). Got in line 15-20 min before sales started. We bought the family pack, which included 2 electronic game sets(loaded with 24 cards per game each) and 2 “old school” paper packs(which included 3 cards per game). Cost was $70 for 55 cards per game. You could add more cards for 10 for $10. Prizes started about $300 for the first game and ended between $500-$600 for game 4. I won game 2 once and won $388. Amount is shared with the number of bingos for each game.

I was on the Fantasy two weeks ago and won the last game of the cruise, ~$590. We we’re in line 15 minutes before pre-sales started and we we’re some of the last people who got seats in D Lounge.

I was also on the Fantasy 3/26 cruise and agree that you needed to be in line 15 minutes prior to pre-sales starting to ensure that you made it in. They completely filled every chair and also let some people stand in the room in addition. I assume they cut it off at what their room capacity allowed because the cast member letting people in had a counter.

Why would there be a line? Don't you just play the game on an app on your phone?
Just wanted to mention they have large electronic handsets a little narrower than a legal pad of paper and as heavy as a standard text book. They do run out of those and space. We had people on the floor playing no seats were left.
