I am a new droid x owner and was wondering what other owners feel are must have apps. I know E ticket is not for the droid.. but of course Pete we would all take it if you made it.

Evernote
Paper Toss
Dolphin HD browser
Super Mario live wallpaper

I have the droid incredible, so I am a big fan of some of the htc widgets (clock, stocks, agenda, etc.)

IMHO :)

Advanced task killer

Android Light Saber

I love my apps. I'm not saying these are must haves, but I enjoy them.

BistroMath
Calorie Counter
Dictionary.com
Google Earth
Laputa (it's an e-reader and has tons of books including Charlaine Harris, JR Ward etc)
Pandora
Photobucket
Ride Hopper Lite (great for non-Disney parks)
Runstar
ShopSavvy
Stitcher (podcast playing thingy - just search DIS)
Starbucks Card (to check the balance of my starbucks gift cards)
Stock Alert (I'm a geek)
WDW Lines (requires a membership to touring plans - maybe $10 for a year)
PDAnet (to tether my laptop)
Yahoo for Android
UrbanSpoon

great list! Keep them coming! I love my droid but I'm just using the basic apps right now - I'm anxious to try the ones listed already.

Thanks for all the suggestions. they are very helpful.
Which bar code reader is everyone using?
Also check out google sky map. IF you ever looked up at night sky and wondered what/where the constellations are. You will enjoy this app.

AppBrain-backs up all your apps
Barcode Scanner-compares prices in surrounding areas
Bump-for sharing apps, contacts, photos between phones
Calorie Counter
Cardio Trainer-measures your calories burned in aerobic excercise-many different types of cardioaerobic excercises are listed (walking, treadmill, dance...)
Google Sky Map-looking at constellations
Grocery IQ-grocery list can input from barcode scan, will look for coupons
Kindle-amazon book reader
mooLa-checkbook register
Music Wizard-dowload free mp3
Pandora-music radio
Remote for itunes-use phone to access itunes on compute at home
Shazam-"listens" to songs to tell you artist and title
Urban Spoon-what to eat finder
Zebra Paint-for the kids-wonderful at keeping the peace in shopping lines or while waiting at the Dr. office.

I love my Droid too!
I downloaded tons of apps when I first got my phone. I have since unistalled many of them. These remain my "go to" apps.

Better Alarm (allows you to use any mp3 as your wake up tune- this is the only alarm clock I use now and wake up to Second Star to the Right!!:goodvibes)
Budgetroid (great for keeping track of expenses on vacation)
Calorie Counter (I love that you can sync to the computer and track your diet & exercise)
DroidLight (great flashlight that uses the LED flash)
EverNote (notes you can sync with your computer)
Google Calendar- syncs to my computer
LiveScore (up to the minute scores for any sport)
TripIt (keeps all my vacation confirmations, plans, ticket #, ADRs, etc in one place- and it syncs to my laptop! :lovestruc)
WDW Lines (mentioned above- need a subscription to touringplans.com)

for games, these 3 are my favorites-
Bejeweled Magic
Word Up
Sudoku

You can probably see a trend here- I love apps I can use on my phone or laptop. That way my info is always backed up and I can enter from either location.

for anyone that wants to stream the podcast on their droid

Stitcher Podcast Radio

Works like a charm, listening now

...and I'm curious if anyone has used PDAnet successfully from an on-site resort. (Really hate to cough up the daily Internet fee at WDW.)

PDANet use to offer a 21 day free trial. Even after the 21 days, the software still works but just blocks access to secure (https://) sites. So, you could install it just before heading to WDW, test it at home and use it while at WDW.

I just looked at the PDANet site and they have PDANet on sale for $18.95 "for a limited time".
