What makes a pin so valuable? And why is it that WDW pins seem to be the most sought after pins... I mean why is it that a LE 1000 or 1200 from WDW is so hard to get and wanted when a LE from DLR of 750 to 1000 is not? I understand that more people go to WDW but after a few weeks LE pins are still on the rack at DLR...

I just came from a pin meet and saw some Disney Auction pins. While they are LE to 100 they are not that sought after. Again why? I have a few LE pins that I have never seen before but they draw the attention that others do.

So what do you think makes a pin so valuable???

I think that WDW pins are still more valuable because WDW is where Disney pin trading started, so when someone wants a pin, they still automatically turn to WDW. I also think alot of it is "the lemming factor"...wanting particular pins just because other people seem to find them so valuable...for me a good example of this is the 2001 pom set. I never really liked them, but the majority of pin folk seemed to think they were special, so I "had to have them" JMHO

Good Question!!!

I don't think that there is any rhyme or reason to it. I also don't think that WDW pins are more valuable than DLR pins.

Who wants LE1000 pin from Port Orleans?? But the haunted mansion hearse is a hot item along with the CM SHARE pin.

The current DLR dining series LE10000 is highly sought after?!?

What about the WDW lanyard series?

There have been many pins at DLR that you could only get off of a CM's lanyard but now that they are being marketed at "lanyard only" pins everyone is hunting for them. Honestly, they are the quality of GWP or travel pins.

BTW I spotted many lanyard pins on CM's lanyards last week at DLR.

The WDCC jail scene pins?? The editions on these are not that small (larger than LE100 auction pins) but these are some of the hotest pins around.

If you really start to think about it and try to make sense of it, you will go crazy but thats what keeps the hobby/addiction exciting.

Hey Disney can't even predict what the value of each pin will be!!

Good Query (pass the Aspirin)

The Queen is an imposter! How could someone of Royal descent be humble and a lemming?!?
