AAAARRRRGGGGG (that's better)

What a nightmare afternoon i have had, why oh why i can't just be happy with what i have booked i don't know.:sad2:

Earlier i checked the disney site and saw that for my dates the Sequoia Lodge was showing with the 40% off. Straight away i rang the Disney number in the brochure and was told that if i wanted to see about upgrading even if it was to query the price then i would have to email this email address dlp.uk.admin@disney.com.
So i did that just asking how much it would cost to upgrade and if i did want to how would i go about doing that.
I spoke to a friend a while later and she said that that is wrong they should be able to tell me on the phone and that you only email the address i did if you definately want to change your booking.:scared1:

I rang the Disney number in the brochure back and this time the lady i was speaking to said she could check for me there and then(which she did)and that the 40% off offer for the Sequoia was no longer showing.
So with mild panic setting in i email back the dlp admin address telling them i no longer want to upgrade and i will keep my reservation as it is.

I haven't had a reply to either email i sent them yet but i am hoping and praying that they don't just go ahead and change my booking, it nearly £300 more to stay at the Sequoia.:faint:

Poppie, I've dealt with the dlp.uk.admin@disney.com people and they are lovely, very helpful as well. They will not just upgrade you without talking to you first (they actually aren't allowed to simply deduct money from your cards without your permission)

Don't panic yourself too much. They will reply to you within 3-4 days of sending them an email. They are the next step up if the CM can't help with your enquiry on the phone, much like asking to speak to a supervisor and they are nothing but helpfull.

They really ought to have dealt with your question over the telephone initially however they seem to not like changing bookings that have been made with a discount or if they are to include a discount. I had massive problems with the booking line simply adding HB to my booking as I did it under the 50% offer for AP holders and that's when they refered me to the UK Admin Team.

Thank god for that, i wont worry so much now. Logic told me that they would not just go ahead and upgrade me, that they would have to email me first and tell me how much etc, but my friend kinda gave the impression that they would just do it charge my card and tell me after that it had been done.

Stupid how the first person i spoke to said he couldn't help when all he had to do was check availability but the second time around the lady checked no problem.

They are going to read them emails especially the second panic stricken one and think i am a complete nutter.:rotfl2:

I can vouch with what John is saying, i was going to book Eurostar through Disney but told that the train prices hadnt been released to them yet so if i wanted to add it to my booking i would need to email them first then ring them. They cannot do anything without speaking to you so don't worry.

When you rung DLP did you explain that you had sent a email to them? Never heard of emailing them to upgrade before, i always did it over the phone.

hope it all gets sorted, but even tho ive not had that problem, i would definately think they would need ur confirmation to upgrade verbally, as anyone could have sent the email - so they would need to check!!

sorry u missed out on the upgrade tho

No i didn't, i did think it strange that i was told i would have to email about getting prices to upgrade but i just thought that was normal procedure and went ahead and sent an email asking.

It doesn't matter, originally we wanted the Cheyenne as it is our favourite but by the time i booked it it had gone. It was only a thought to upgrade to the Sequoia.
After the afternoon i have had I now love the Santa Fe :lovestruc: and i am more than happy to stay there. :rotfl:

I reckon they will probably ignore your email or reply after you have come back from your trip lol.

They are usually brilliant at replying, my first email took 3 days, 2nd took one hour and the 3rd was about 5-10 minutes.

I only emailed them about my complaint which was a reply by post so i cant comment on there efficentness lol.

Yeah as has been said before I upgraded over the phone on Wednesday through the number someone posted on here for me :) Also, as has been said, they were a bit funny with the 40% offer as the lady on the phone said she wasn't sure she'd be able to upgrade me because of it and put me on hold for a couple of minutes while she went to check. All was fine in the end.

And I wouldn't worry about them charging you're card! When I did it over the phone I swear the woman "confirmed" about 5 times what I was wanting to do and the cost of it, like I'd have changed my mind within 2 minutes, lol.

When i wanted upgrade once a few years back, they told me i couldn't do it over the phone, and i would have to email. So i didn't bother in the end.

hi, i had a similar worry early this week. I suddenly realised we could add an extra day and when i phoned to see how much it would be (couldn't committ until knew how much) i wsa told because we had a package including travel i would have to email. Like you i had a sudden panic they would take the money first and nearly sent an emergency panic email! But within 4 days (included over weekend) i had a lovely email back explaining what my options were and that i could get back to them, so don't worry!! and they are probably used to rambling emails too :)
