Say you're leaving the ICY ICY ICY cold of NY to go down to lovely orlando, in oh say 8 days, what do you pack?

Should I be considering sweatshirts and maybe a coat? or should i just leave that all behind (like i want to)?

I went a few years ago in February. I wore capris and short sleeved tees. It was chilly in the morning and again at night, so I wore a zip-up hoodie and tied it around my waist during the day. I also brought a windbreaker. It was in the mid-sixties to low seventies during the day, high 40's to mid 50's at night. Check a weather sight daily to see what the long-range forecast is. Have fun!!

Personally, I'd pack the sweats along with the bathing suit and the shorts, it's been crazy down there.

This time of year in Orlando is tough. It can be warm enough for shorts and t-shirts and cold enough for jackets. If I'm traveling this time of year I bring clothes that I can layer. I make sure to bring a sweatshirt, fleece jacket, windbreaker and a hat and gloves. I wear my sneakers, jeans, sweatshirt, fleece and windbreaker on the plane on the way down and back. For a week long trip I pack 3 pairs of shorts, 4-5 short sleeve t-shirts, 4-5 long sleeve t-shirts, an additional sweatshirt, another pair of jeans or two, bathing suit and appropriate amount of undergarments. If necessary, you can do a load of laundry while you're there.

Layers - especially gloves and a scarf. It can be freezing one day and warm the next.

Don't leave anything behind. Pack a few of everything. We are in a warm spell right now, but that could change. FEb is typically pretty cold, sure not as cold as you are used to, but cold enough to be very uncomfortable when walking around the parks in summer like clothes when the wind chill could be in the 30'3 or 40's.

Just checked the weather, for Feb 10th they are calling for lows in the 30's with some rain. Don't think that is summer clothes weather. Hopefully it will be warmer, and this is at night. I think the days are in the lower 60's. Hopefully nice and sunny for you.
