What am i missing?

Did something get posted today, or supposed to open up? I have been trying to talk to DCL about linking a couple reservations, and have never waited over a couple minutes for someone. I have been told several times this morning wait times over 20 minutes? Did they get snowed in too and have only a couple of people there, or are the Dream folks hogging the phone lines too and demanding immediate personal service? (sorry had to throw that in there with all the griping I have heard from some people that refuse to be happy and have a good time)

Bookings for the two new ships is crazy and that's why the lines are tied up (at least this is what I was told when I called...and waited 30 minutes to speak with someone yesterday about my cruise in a couple of weeks).
 
There are a number of things going on.

1. they canceled the Sept. 3 Med Cruise
2. new ships
3. they implemented a new check-in system with arrival times
4. they changed the MR itineraries a couple of weeks ago and the cruise docs that are arriving don't reflect those changes
 
No, you didn't miss anything and yes, it is VERY annoying. It never used to be over a minute or two wait, now it's always at least 20. I just tried to call them now and it said the wait time was 24 minutes. I love how they make you listen to all of their advertising before they tell you how long it will be also. I think the problem is they have over double (triple really) the space to sell with the Dream and Fantasy added. They more than doubled their business, but I don't think they bothered to hire new phone operators. Very upsetting.:mad:

Can we have a new number for the Dream complainers and let the people that still want the old beat up ships have the old call in numbers?

One can dream can't I!

Guess I will just have to be on hold for a while. I guess it has to be something wrong, the website has been working very well for me lately!
 
Don't forget they added Kids Sail Free for some of the Alaska cruises. They also cancelled a Med cruise due to the ship being chartered.
 
I had to wait 33 mins, put the phone on speaker and did some other things.

No fun...but if it makes you feel better I spent 3 HOURs on the phone trying to clear up a problem with my bank...which turned out to be their error.....ugh!

Seriously, though, I had to call a week ago to make a change to something I should have been been able to do own my own on the DCL web site but I was getting an error message every time I tried. I waited on the phone something like 25 minutes only to have the snotty agent tell me I could have avoided the wait by doing it myself online and that her husband always has trouble too because he doesn't read the instructions. My thoughts towards her were not charitable.

What number are you guys calling?! I have called on 4 seperate occassions since the 1st and have NEVER had a wait longer than 30 seconds! The number i'm calling is 1-800-951-3532. Anyway, just thought i'd throw that out there!!! :confused3
