We are going to WDW at the end of June and I can barely walk up the driveway. I don't know what I did to my knee but, out of the blue, it is painful to put weight on it. This happened three days ago. I have wrapped it with an ACE bandage, which helps, but didn't cure it. :sad2:

To add insult to injury, yesterday I jammed my other foot into a chair and I think I may have broken my little toe. I think the toe injury is minor (I hope). It hurts but I can still walk. But I can't walk on that knee. :sad2:

I know I'm in bad shape as I have spent the last 4-5 months sitting at my desk. I was planning to start a walking program with these last few weeks before the trip to condition my legs and break in my new shoes. Now what am I going to do? This is awful. Today I will call my doctor.

One word,,, Chiropractor!
They work miricales.
My daughter injured her knee in basketball. Dr. had her in a brace and told her no activities for 6 weeks. We went to the Chiropractor and he did this laser treatment along with some mild shock therapy with a tens unit and she was completely better in 10 days. No pain at all. Its worth a try. :flower:

Oh no! Poor you! Seems strange that you didnt knock or twist it. Have you been moving heavy things, or do you suffer with aches in your knees?
Hope that doctor will sort you out quick smart. Good luck! :sunny:

You can rent an ECV for your trip if you are still in bad shape when you leave for your trip. It is a huge amount of walking, and don't let your trip be spoiled by this. You can easily use the ECV to travel to a section of the park, walk when and where you can, and then continue to use it for long walks and travel between rides.

If you have someone in your party who will push you in a wheelchair, it would be cheaper, but honestly, I wouldn't let myself skimp in this area. It's a great vacation, but it's no fun if you are hurt. Let technology help you have a great time!!

I am so sorry to hear about your knee! Hopefully your doctor will be able to determine why it is hurting and can help you get well really soon. I'm sending some pixie dust your way! :wizard:

I feel your pain...literally. Tuesday morning, I got out of bed and my left leg just twisted out from under me! I went down like a sack of potatoes! I've spent the last 3 days with my leg up but from the knee to the big toe, my leg just aches. And we leave next Friday for the Bahamas (20th anniversary trip).

Hopefully, your doctor can give you some help. Mine said that it's "just" a sprain and needs time to heal. I suppose that I'll just have to rest my leg poolside or on the beach. I know that there's no way I'd be able to do WDW the way it feels. I hope that you get better quickly.

 Is there any way for you to see an orthopedic doctor? I would recommend them for a musculoskeletal injury, as that is what they specialize in. They can set you up with some x-rays/mri as needed, and maybe get you into physical therapy until your trip to help you get moving again. Sometimes some modalities like ultrasound, e-stim, and even just cryotherapy will help, depending on the injury. Not only that, but you still have a month before your trip, so there is still some time to strengthen that leg a little bit, and get you back to walking again if there is nothing serious going on.

Is your knee swollen at all? Any black and blue marks anywhere? Is your ankle stiff? Do you have full range of motion? Lot of things that can go wrong in the knee, but thankfully some are not so serious- hope that is what you've got!
