I am going back to school in 2 weeks (I say "back" because I already hold one degree and am going back to get my teacher's certification), and intentionally scheduled classes on Monday night, Tuesday and Thursday. That way, I'll have all day Monday, Wednesday and Friday to do my fieldwork and/or substitute teaching, and I'll have the weekends to do homework and rest.
That all changed today. I got a call from a close friend of mine asking if I could watch her baby on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. I told her that I'd agree to that now, but plans may change depending on my fieldwork schedule. I'd try to get my fieldwork on Mondays or Tuesday/Thursday morning (my classes don't start until 12:30PM on TTh), but no guarentees. If that goes through, I'll be doing fieldwork and in class all day Tuesday Thursday, substituting/fieldwork on Monday, babysitting Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, which leaves Sunday as my only day off during the week. Eeeek! I'm hoping that all will go smoothly, but I have a feeling that I will have to give up something, most likely the babysitting. I really hate to give up anything, but that might need to go.
What am I doing?!?! Vent over.
