We are leaving for Disney in 2 weeks and my DD3&1/2 meets the height requirement for splash mountain. She is quite fearless when it comes to rides but that has been mostly with "kiddie" rides.

I figured we would start small and work our way up. What age children have you seen on Splash Mountain before? Am I totally crazy for even suggesting she be ready for it?

:confused3 :confused3   :confused3

I agree with you and working her up to it....DD is 4 and she loves all those rides, we just worked our way up to them...Barnstormer, Thunder Mountain, etc....she just wanted on it, so we were just being cautious for our own necessity...lol We never took her on ToT, but this upcomming trip she will be going on it, if she still wants too. She is a thrill seeker and is looking very forward to ToT, Space Moutain, and EE....lol So just use your own judgement with it, if DD is fine with the others, and seems game to go on it, then go for it!! I have seen lots of young kids on it, and they all seem to really enjoy it!!

Have a great trip!!

That is DD's favorite ride at Disney. She was 4 1/2 when she went on it. Other than the big drop, Slash Mountain is not a scary ride and is actually quite sweet and pleasant. You can see the big drop from outside so it will give her an idea. If she is fine on other rides and wants to go on, you could certainly give it a try but I wouldn't force the issue as it could backfire on you. :)

My DD seems to love rides at little carnivals around here. But at 2 she was tall enough for Barnstormer but would not ride with her uncle and I didn't want to go I was afraid I'd not fit on. She would have went if I did, she loves and adores her uncle she was just tired.

I'm looking forward to our next trip where I know she will be more into rides. Last trip she was into shows.

My DS4 can't wait to hit Splash Mountain!

He wanted to go on it in Nov when he was three and a half, but the line was too long and we had dinner plans so fast pass was not an option.

My daughter was just shy of 4 in September when we were there. She couldn't wait to go on Splash.

She loved the ride...then we went down the big drop. She screamed all the way down.

After that she told us she was never going on it again. Which was fine of course. She will let us know when she is ready to try it again.

But, my son has been going on Splash since he was 4 and has loved it ever since!!

She loved Soarin and was okay with Goofy's rollercoaster. I didn't think she was ready for BTMRR or Test Track so she waited with Dad while I took the boys.

DD LOVES Splash Mountain....she went on it the first time in September 2007 just shy of 4 years old. Of course she want on Test Track and BTMRR and loved them too. She wants to do everything she is big enough for and the only thing she said she didn't like afterwards was TOT (it bothered her the people disappearing) but she insisted on going on it again when we were there in January of this year.
