What ADR would you drop? Or can you suggest something better?

We are going to Disney in September. This will be our first trip with DS. He will be 21 months old when we go.
Here are the ADRs that I have so far:

Friday: Boma's for dinner (we should arrive around noon)
Saturday: Cape May Cafe for breakfast
Sunday: Chef Mickey's for breakfast & 50s Prime Time for dinner
Monday: Akershus for breakfast
Tuesday: Hollywood and Vine for breakfast (MNSSHP that night)
Wednesday: Crystal Palace for dinner
Thursday: Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner
Friday: 1900 Park Fare for breakfast (we fly out around 4pm)

What 2 would you get rid of? Or would you suggest something else completely? I think buffets will be a little bit easier with DS, because he can eat quicker and hopefully no be too fussy. I know we want to keep Chef Mickey's for sure.

Any other ideas or suggestions?

Thanks for any helP!

I would also keep Crystal palace for dinner too......the food and the atmosphere is fantastic and the baby should like that too...

I do agree that with a baby doing the buffets is your best bet. We did this the other night in our hometown......my two grandkids were here with their parents to help celebrate my birthday. SO we went to a hotel that has a wonderful buffet.....not alot of choices but good and fast.......Have fun when you go

I think your list looks great :thumbsup2
If I HAD to get rid of one, I think for me it would be Whispering Canyon. We have been only once and it was years ago but we waited a long time to get in (and we had Priority Seatings) and it was LOUD and frenetic. We had a fun server but honestly for a 21-month-old it might be totally overwhelming as far as the noise and WL is not the most convenient resort to get to just for a meal IMO, although stunning to look at! So if you are going to there in part to check out this gorgeous resort, then nevermind! ;)

I would say Akershus! Your ds probably won't be that interested in Princeses!:rotfl: The one I would definetaly keep is Chef Mickey's!

If Playhose Disney is big in your house, definitely keep H&V breakfast. It was really great! We were there soon after it started with the PHD characters for the last breakfast seating, and only two other families were in the whole place! My DDs had TONS of character time, and danced with them during the songs and entertainment time. Don't know whether crowds are still that low or not, but for us it was great! We just gave the girls nutra grain minis earlier to tide them over...

Just one thing to keep in mind - if you do a character buffet, there most likely will still be a wait to see all of the characters...

I would drop 50's Prime Time and Whispering Canyon.........as the PP stated......very loud and hectic.......maybe too much for a 21 month old, IMHO.

Boma is awesome! I loved it and so did the girlfriends I went with!

Cape May Cafe breakfast food was good, this trip was with a bunch of little cousins and brothers and nephews and it was easy and they loved it.

I love Chef Mickey's to this day and I am almost 21! Never been to 50's PTC, the atmosphere doesn't do it for me.

Never been to Akershus but have an ADR for lunch here in August.

H & V my sister took my nephew to when he was younger and she said it was pretty good

Crystal Palace for dinner is something I've always wanted to try!

Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner was my family's least favorite, but everyone has a different experience! What about Coral Reef? There are tons of kids there and the huge aquarium is awesome! Or if you are looking for something in the MK area I would go to Ohana...it is my favorite!

1900 Park Fare for breakfast...My parents started taking me to Disney when I was about 2, and we stayed at the GF every year for so many years! We always ate there and I remember LOVING IT. I know it has changed, but I can't wait to go back in August!

FWIW, our 7 mo was TERRIFIED of the characters. I don't know what will happen when she is 22 mo. We're only doing one character breakfast and I'm still nervous.

CP for breakfast is the best! That's my only opinion.

I agree...Boma's is a really good choice!!! The food is excellent!!!

Liberty Tree Tavern at MK wasn't to bad either...it's family dining with characters...just watch out for Minnie...she accidentally spilt a soda on my husband during our dinner there!!!

:rotfl:

Everything sounds great!!! Have fun!! oh I just wanted to tell you that i like the food better at crystal palace in the morning but you have a lot of breakfast's booked but you will like dinner there too. I am in love with thier french toast lol..it was really good :)

If it were us, we would drop H&V (we've had two horrible experiences there) and Prime Time.

Another vote to drop WCC. When we were there we had a great time, but it was loud, slow, and the food wasn't that great. It took us over 2 1/2 hours for dinner, and we knew what we wanted to order before we ever got there.

I'd drop the meals in BOLD

Thanks for any helP!

I would also either drop or move 1900PF to Monday Bfst or Thursday Dinner. I would simply eat a CS breakfast at Pop so you are not rushed to get out of the room on your departure day. If you're using ME you'll be on the bus around 1pm. If you chose to leave the resort early, let it be for park time rather than a meal. Should you have any Snack or CS credits left (assuming you'll be on the DP) you can use them at Pop or in the park before you depart, perhaps for lunch to take to the airport.

Same thing happened with us at WCC, and our waitress REEKED of cigarette smoke. No thanks!

PS TruBlu...LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! YOUR DC PICS!!!
