What activities would you recommend at the HH resort?

The kids might be a little young for the children's activities. Although, you might be able to do some of them, as long as you are around to help (I think in your case, it will be more a case of an adult doing most of the work).

Pool and beach time. You will have to ask about doing the dolphin trip or beach combing trip; I believe the maximum capacity on the boats is 6 and I don't know if they will make exceptions for the kids or not.

Rent bikes -- you can get a tag-along for the kids.

There will no longer be the BBQ in September, but I believe the Low Country Fish Boil will still be going on. It's a great way to get a taste of local cuisine without even leaving the resort!

There is great shopping and LOTS of great restaurants to try. But like others have said, relaxing is one of the favorites...

The magic show is excellent! and the bonfire sing along and smores. The CMs at HHI are among the best I've encountered.

We visited HHI last September. Our sons were 26 months and 6 months old and we had a GREAT time!

Our kids enjoyed the pool and the beach. They also enjoyed the story time with cookies/milk and the campfire/s'mores. (They weren't really old enough to participate in the songs at the campfire, but had fun dancing along... even the 6 month old was smiling from ear to ear.) We also rented bikes and the kids enjoyed riding along.

We also all enjoyed a dolphin cruise (we booked this outside of the resort as the resort tours were full and/or cancelled due to weather). Our oldest son (2 years old at the time) LOVED the cruise. The baby did well, too.

We also took the island tour offered by the resort. While the tour was wonderful, I don't recommend it with little ones. We enjoyed it but, only because we had both the kids' grandmothers with us. We would not have attempted this tour if we didn't have extra help to entertain the little ones.

I hope you enjoy your trip as much as we enjoyed ours!

I forgot to add that our then 2-yr-old also liked Shadow, the resort's dog. He was most excited to get his picture taken with Shadow!

I hope the weather holds out and the outdoor activities are going on. the magic show and story time sound fun!
