Disneybag said:I doubt Beauty and the Beast will get a big treatment for quite a long time. It was a fairly big package when it was originally released on DVD. They put in a few scenes that were originally in the Broadway production, etc. It was a nice 2-disc set. You can probably find it on ebay.

The 'Platinum' is nothing but a marketing gimmick without a real timetable. Their release dates are set to maintain quarterly earnings, nothing else. In fact, there's nothing really in these releases expect running the negative through another digitizer. It's not like the eariler releases that had new segments and additional material written for them. In fact, the rumor is the upcoming 'Platinum' release of Lilo and Stitch is going to nothing but the extras they dropped when they cut the first release from one disc to two.I had the understanding that the Platinums came out...
