I never hear much about this ts at the MK. We're looking for a ts that's not a character meal (have adr for LTT and CRT) and is relaxing w/ decent food. Anybody have an opinion?

They have great food for a "light" lunch. Sandwiches etc. I think it's a great place and would recommend it! :goodvibes

I really liked it. I ordered the cheesesteak which was really good and my boyfriend got the reuben and he liked his as well. The fries were good too.. they were different than you would get at other places, like Casey's for example. I really liked them.. also I ordered a mint chocolate chip sundae for dessert and it was also really.. good.. haha. I enjoyed this place a lot! :yay:

We LOVE the Plaza! It has great burgers, and the salad is wonderful! We order milkshakes every time...
The only reason that we are not going there on our next trip is that we are on the DDP and I don't want to use a table service for a burger and fries. My kids were VERY disappointed!
Go ahead and try it...you'll love it! :goodvibes

We have enjoyed it in the past. It seemed very crowded to us the way they have the tables set up. Not much room in between them. The food has been good but we definately like the dessert items the most.

Here I am with my opposite view of this restaurant. I thought it was terribly overcrowded, you are seated directly beside the next table and it is like they are sitting with you. The food was mediocre at best, nothing to rave about, I actually went to this restaurant based on the reviews posted here and was terribly disappointed. Service was not good....the castmember that waited on us looked as if she was absolutely overworked and exhausted and it reflected in her attitude to us.

I have not gone back and will not go back as there are so many restaurants to choose from that are far better.

I guess it depends on when you go. We went in an uncrowded season and the restaurant was less than half-full during our lunch there. Food was good, service was excellent and the milkshakes were great!

We have gone every year the last three years during Free Dining and absolutely love it. The tables are a little close together, but my DH and I could certainly hear ourselves talk (unlike Boatwright's which is more spread out and we couldn't hear anything). We thought the sandwiches were terrific (and we've tried different kinds over the last three years); I'm not fond of the potato salad--but I don't like German Potato Salad that much anway. I do like their fries. Also love their shakes and hot fudge sundaes. We are going back this year for our last day for lunch before we head off to Daytona Beach for part two of our 25th anniversary trip.

We went last year for the first time and are going again this year.:goodvibes It's a thoroughly charming restaurant, and I'm big into charm, eye-appeal, and location, but the tables ARE rather close together and yes, you can hear yourselves talk. The food is wonderful, although my hat goes off to those who have room for dessert after their meal! I was so stuffed I couldn't even eat a waffer thin mint!!!:rotfl2: My kids liked their burgers and I thought the Reuben was excellent. I had mine without the Russian dressing as cream-based dressings do not appeal to me at all. If you try it you'll enjoy it - especially if you get a table in the little nook that has a to-die-for view of the castle!!::yes:: ::yes:: Enjoy :thumbsup2

Here is another vote for the Plaza. It is certainly nothing special or fancy by any means, but it is a nice lilttle out fot he way place to eat at MK. The milkshakes are awesome, and so are the burgers! A lot of people don't like it on the DDP because they don't feel they don't get the same value for a TS credit as other places- i.e. Le Cellier, Chef Mickey's, etc. I would have to agree with this, but since we never use the dining plan, I think the Plaza is just fine for a quick bite to eat. ::yes::

Glad to read all the good reviews for this! We are having lunch there on our August trip!

Thanks for all the replies - this really helps - I think I will book it and try it for myself::yes::
