Was just on the NOAA site and read that tropical storm Jeanne is projected to be around the Bahamas this Sunday. I tried to read the information about it, but didn't understand the weather talk. We are arriving the following Saturday. I hope this doesn't turn into another problem for Florida.

Does anyone have any information on this storm?

get her the heck outta here!
she knows better than to stick around!

Just had a look on the NOAA site - nothing to add but lets just hope she fizzles out!!! We are due to arrive next week so I will be keeping an eye on her!!:teeth:

This morning, when I finished my tea....the leaves in the bottom of the cup CLEARLY told me that Jeanne is gonna end up in a little bottle, tossed into the mid-Atlantic abyss...

I must be dreaming of Jeanne...

We leave in 23 hours! And no Jeanne is gonna ruin it for me!

I'm gettin' my wish Jeanne, so SIT DOWN!!!

:)

I think they just alternate male-female names A-Z ... Wait 'til we get near the end of the season... URSULA! :earseek:

I heard on the car radio that they expect her to go off into the sea.

daisylove, please say it's true.......that would be wonderful...no more lives damaged or lost

I just got back from a great 4 day trip. We left Thursday night and returned last night. I would like to share some advice for all of those who have upcoming trips. Do not discuss these storms on these boards, go to a weather discussion Board. Why? Because all it does is drive up sometimes very unhealthy and sometimes uneccesary worries.

Example 1.

All last week all the doomsayers on this board where talking about Ivan and how it was going to hit WDW and such. So much that people on this board reported that they canceled their trip for this past weekend. I got caught up in the worrying and ended up not canceling, but was very worried. You know what happend? I had one of the best WDW trips ever(party because so many had canceled, no lines) with the best Orlando weather I have ever seen. It goes to show these things are unpredictable and there is NEVER NEVER any certainty to anything that is said by the meterologists. Don't cancel your upcomming trips. Don't get worked up on these boards about the storms. Talk about Disney world not Hurricanes. DON'T CANCEL unless you leave in one day tomorrow and they predict a hit the same day. Go on your vacation and don't drive yourself insane on the week leading up by getting worked up about where these things are going to hit. keep your prayers for those in its new path.

It is very wise counsel not to worry and I think perhaps we should try and be positive but it is very difficult when you think that you potentially could be bringing your family into danger for the sake of a holiday (even though it might very well be a great holiday! :) )
Hopefully this one will not turn into anything.

Azune

Jeanne Jeanne go away...don't come back any other day.

We are headed to the Magic of WDW on Sunday. I sure hope the weather is great and it is as empty at the parks as everybody says. Looking forward to a great trip no matter what we deal with.:sunny:
