What about the boys??

I think we may let my dd4 pick a pearl as a souvineir while at WDW next week. Does anyone have an idea that my ds6 might enjoy as much as his sister will getting to pick out her own pearl? I am drawing a blank....

for boys - its all about balls, legos, and collectable cards!! In Japan they have the Pokeman cards - DTD has the legos - and it just doesnt seem to matter if its a ball my boys are all for that - they are now 24 and 21 - they love their last souveneir - Mr Star Wars Potato Head!!

I find my boys are really easy going - dd is more about keeping and holding on to the pearls...

I like the Mr. Potato Head idea. We filled the giant potato when we went in April and DS(6) and DD(9) for that matter, still gets it out and plays with it.

I'm thinking when we go in December we'll let him pick out a couple new items for the potato. The other thing we have done is have the kids look around for a couple of days to see what they like before they pick something out. So you might want to let him look around a little bit to see if there's something that peaks his interest.

We did a Build Your Own Lightsaber at Tattoine Traders @ DHS last year & the kids thought that was all kinds of fun!

When we did the pick a pearl in SF last year my DS 9(at the time) wanted to do the pearl as much as my oldest DD did! He is really into nature and rocks, etc... But they did have a lizard charm and the pearl fits into his mouth. Its put away now, but he did enjoy it at the moment.

The 2 things that ds8 has mentioned that he's looking forward to is building his own lightsaber and going to the Lego shop at DTD.

You could let him build his own Dino at T-Rex...but then she might want one, too!

My boys both loved the pick a pearl. We were doing it as a present for my mother whose birthday was the following week. One son got 1 large pearl, so we set it in a charm and bought a chain for it. The other got smaller twins, so we had earrings made. Now Nana has a great pearl set from her grandsons.
