What about rainy days?

I see all these great photos of great outside locations, and am wondering what happens if it rains.

I know if you have the ceremony outside, they can move you inside if it rains. But part of going to Disney is getting all the great outside shots. Has anyone had their photos/video planned for outside, but then couldn't?

Well I know that if you do an event outside, they always hold something indoors incase it rains, now you don't have a say in what they hold (Our rehearsal dinner was outdoors and they held the AA Parlor). I believe they make the rain call about 5 hours ahead of time in EPCOT, not sure about the other venues.

For our Intimate we were told that if it rained we would have the ceremony in the same place as the cake cutting, which for us was just inside Sunrise Terrace on the 4th floor WL balcony. That would have been o.k., the big glass windows would still have allowed us to feel like we were outside, but I'm very happy that the weather was perfect that day, I really wanted an outdoor ceremony and the Terrace is quite private, which was something we both wanted :cloud9: The only time I worry about weather where I live in Florida (we're about 1.5 hours west of Disney) is late afternoons in the summer. It seems to rain and thunderstorm almost every day between 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Hurricanes are a concern in summer and fall, but it's not something I would particularly worry about. Disney is very good at taking care of their FTW couples and if you have to move indoors it will be just as special!

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I know that the actual ceremony will be moved inside (as said in my first post), but am more interesting in the photography/video session if it rains. I see all these great photos outside (like I'm hoping for also), but what happens if it rains...I guess you just get stuck with inside photos??

I see what you're saying! For my wedding, it was a bit overcast in the AM (we had a 12noon ceremony). We got to the GF to do the pictures, and they rushed me outside, to get the pictures done there b/c it looked like rain. When I was planning I was so excited about the outside pictures... We go outside, and it started to drizzle, the photographer just looked at me, and she didn't know what to say. I don't know, i think that Amy thought I'd flip out. I was like, don't worry, it's fine if it rains, i'm OK with it. We did alot of good inside pictures, it didn't matter. Turns out that it was just a quick drizzle if that and then it cleared up and it was beautiful out.

You will have beautiful pictures no matter what! Remember that!!!!

Wow - I didn't even think about the pics... thanks for asking that question. We are using Randy Chapman and just from talking to him a few times, it seems as though no matter what the weather, he will find the places to take fabulous pics!!! I can't wait to take our engagement pics in August!!! :goodvibes  :Pinkbounc I will be newly graduated (finally) and feeling good... our planning session is 2 days before the pics so there will be no stress!!! I can't wait!!! I will be sure to ask him this question when I see him. :thumbsup2
