What about DCP are you looking forward to most?

Agreed to the meeting people who love Disney!
It seems that (here, anyway) the true Disney fanatics are few and far between. I can't wait to meet a bunch of people who share a same huge interest as me! :)

Plus, I've been to Disney a good number of times but it seems like every time I go there are so many things I didn't have time to do! I want to knock out everything on my do to list! :)

haha well yeah, but a fairytale is always possible. I've heard of people meeting their spouses in the program. So I'm just saying I think anything can happen at Disney. But, none of my friends love Disney like I do, so even friends will be nice.

This is actually too true, I know two couples who met down there, one that's been married for about a year already and another that's married already too and a third that is about to be married.

All of them met during the CP, the first couple the wife is an international CP and the second one the husband is, in the third couple they're both from the U.S. just different states. It is entirely possible to meet your future spouse on the CP, as I said I've watched it happen 3 times....during ONE program.:rotfl:

Dreamstuff, that is too funny!

I don't want to sound like a freak who's only doing the program "looking for love" haha but I just think it will be so great to be surrounded with people who share the same passion!

Also, I just thought of another thing I want to do while on the CP. I have never bought a picture from a ride because it's always just me and my mom down there so in ride pictures where it's a group everyone else is people you don't know. I don't really want to pay for a picture with a bunch of randoms in it. So I'd like to get a couple of ride photos where me and some CP friends are all together in it. :goodvibes

I have a "bucket list" of specifics, but I'll spare you the details.. I'm most excited for those moments of "I have nothing to do tonight.. I think I'll go watch the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle!" :cloud9:

I would love to meet other Disney fans. I usually never talk about Disney with my friends from school because the Disney knowledge that they have is the movies and the name of the parks lol. I talk to lots of "strangers" who have become my friends in fourms and twitter who are Disney Nerds like me from different states. If I tell my friends "I love eating at Beirgarten" they would be clueless!

I'm looking forward to find rare characters too!

This is perfect. Tying together these themes of finding love and getting the pictures they take on rides...

This is from PostSecret, in Disneyland :)

1. I take it back. I do love the idea of meeting my Eugene Fitzherbert while on the program. I wish us both good luck, haha.

2. I'll be in your group of people on the rides! We can all Disney Point.

Hahaha, Disneygirlie

My CP family and I have a photo of us looking super frightened on Dinosaur. It's probably one of the most heart warming physical things I brought back from the CP, I always remember the planning that went into all of us looking into the camera like:scared1:
Then it turned out that one of us was really afraid, LOL.
Things like those will be some of your best CP memories.

Everyone else is looking towards the social aspects of the program and I must be a lame-o... I'm looking forward the most to working in the costuming department!

It's my dream to work in costuming as my career, so I'm looking at this as the first step on my way to working wardrobe/construction/whatever for the film industry! Who knows, maybe I'll work for Disney forever? lol :cool2:

I hung out with a lot of costumers during my last CP (Not entirely sure how this happened lol) But some of them loved their jobs, others hated it. It seemed to heavily depend on where you got placed, show people for instance had a blast while parade people tended not to, lol. But I think they get switched around between both.

I'm looking forward to being busy all the time playing with little princesses, meeting lots of people, and going out to eat at all the fun restaurants!

I second the fun restaurants! As goofy as this may sound (I know it's not even Disney) I really can't wait to eat at the Rain Forest Cafe again! :rotfl:

We used to have one here and it had my very favorite meal ever my parents used to bring it home for me on my birthday every year on the way home from work- and anyway they got rid of it to put in a bunch of designer stores and there are no other Rain Forest Cafes around here!!

So I'm looking forward to my favorite meal again x)

6. Plan my meals! Last time I think I still did better than most of my fast food eating friends, but I still have room to grow. No more spaghetti four times a week. With my favorite store Publix down the street, I'll be cooking up some good food. You guys are welcome over. I'll also save a ton of money by not buying Subway EVERYDAY for lunch.

8. Organize my room! It wasn't so bad last time, just void of any style. Containers and things are a must. My roommate and I had matching ones last time and I'm planning on getting more from that set. And I'll need curtains. Darn SUNSHINE state.

9.Get pictures with every character and on every ride! There's nothing better than to get pictures with your favorites characters, but I'm going to 1 up myself and try for a picture with every character while using my famous two thumbs up pose. I am also sewing a snow white dress for myself and I'd love a picture of her and I together while I'm wearing it. I only have one official ride photo. It's from test Track and it was because it was name your price day. I paid a quarter! This time I'll be less stingy. I especially want my Everest one.

10. Go to the formal! I worked last time so I get to go this time. It's only fair. The pictures looked like so much fun.

I am totally excited about all of the things listed above. Invite me over and I'll show you how to make a super easy cheesecake :hippie:

ALSO

-Admission into the parks. This is TOTALLY exciting.
-Two words: Property Control:banana:
-The chance to get to go to Harry Potter...Universal Studios thing. >.>
-Finding out where I'll be assigned. :O

Ditto to finding out where i'll be assigned! IT DRIVES ME NUTS that they make you wait til you get down there to find out the specifics of your role. It is absolute torture.

This. This is what I am looking forward to. I'm Attractions, but that could be anywhere!

Well at least attractions is a cool and desired role. I mean I hear people complain about "Oh god, what if i'm assigned to it's a small world?" But really, I wish I was lucky enough to have that role.

I get what you're saying though. Everyone wants to know where they'll be.

What role did you get assigned?
