Help I am confused! What do I need to do when we touch down in charlotte before we head to orlando? We fly out of Buffalo and I checked the US Airways website and found no clear answer. I don't want to end up in Orlando with nothing to wear. Have vision of spending all week shopping for new clothesssss. Sorry was fantasizing about shopping, I have three teen girls( hahaha) poor dad will have to carry bags.

We leave on New years day, already have maps and electronic tickets but no magical express tickets yet.

Disney says they sent them on Dec. 4 but still no tickets I am quessing it is because of xmas.

Any clarification would be good and happy holidays to everyone.

When you check in at the airport in Buffalo, your bags should be tagged in such a way that they'll be transferred to the other plane in Charlotte. You shouldn't have to do anything but board your second plane.

Oh, I worry about our baggage ALL the time. LOL

One thing I do is I put an extra t-shirt, some toiletries and an extra pair of underwear in my carry-on just in case. I've only had to use my emergency kit once...and that was because the tour company took their sweet time in transferring our luggage from the airport to the hotel and it was close to 2 am when we arrived at the hotel (our plane had been delayed 8 hours). I wanted to clean up so the emergency kit came in handy.

Your luggage will be checked through to MCO. Bring enough in carry on just in case. Occasionally your flight will be late, you'll make the connecting flight but your luggage won't. Rarely the airline will make a mistake and your luggage will stay on the original plane. Your luggage will still find it's way to MCO and DME will take care of getting your luggage to your resort even if it's delayed.

Before you leave, take a sheet of looseleaf..

On it, write your name, airline, and destination infomation.

Put that right on top of your belongings in each of your checked bags - and while you're packing, just jot down what you're putting in those bags, and tuck that list in a safe place, ie, with your tickets:)

On your way home, same thing with the sheet of paper:) With your home contact info, obviously.

*If* your bags are "lost", this may help them find their way home to you...

...from someone who's belongings are still among the missing..11 months later

HTH!..and have a wonderful trip!
