I don't want to have to call disney long distance so thought maybe I could find out here what kind of discount you got for a room using AAA. Please tell me your dates and which disney resort you stayed at and the rate you got. Thank you for your help!!!!!

I know that this isn't a "disney owned" resort bu I got a great rate at the Swan for my Dec 26 to Jan 3 trip to WDW, but I thought that I would send this your way.

I got a rate of $209.06 w/tax at the Swan for a club level conceirge room with a king bed.

I know that these are on Disney property, but not disney owned and have all of the same things that the Disney resorts have except that you can't charge back to your room at the theme parks.

If the Swan was ownded by Disney, the rate would be double.

My daughter and I are booked at the All stars movie for July 20-23 with an AAA rate of 93 dollars. I am still hoping for a code.
Hope this helps
Joanna

We have ASMovies for one night Aug. 2. for $94.00 then we go to the Swan got a excellent rate thru DU at Club Level, Aug. 3 to Aug. 11th. ( No AAA discount on the Swan) then off to AKL Concierge Aug. 11th to Aug. 15th. Saved $71.88 a night with AAA discount. It is alot of $$ for the AKL but we are looking forward to it and it will be worth it to me.

I checked the AAA site but am confused. It did say savings were available for my date of travel of Dec 7-14, 2003 but there is nowhere to check the exact resort I want. Maybe that is the way it is set up?

Can anyone tell me what sort of rate I could expect for the Contemporary Resort for that time of year and would it be worth it to get a membership? I think I heard it was around $50 or so to join?

Or would i be better off waiting for a room code or purchase an AP and get savings that way??

Thanks for your help!

I tried to go into AAA website and look but it is requiring me to join first. If anybody has access please let us know what kind of discounts on rooms they are offering, I am looking for the Poly end of July.

I just booked the Contemporary (Tower Room) for December 7 -14 with the AAA rate. The AAA rate for the Tower was $284.75 + the 11.5% tax. This a 15% discount off the rack rate. Not a great discount, but I went ahead and reserved a room and hopefully there will be AP rates or a code rate which will be better.

Pokeysmom: Here are the AAA rates for the Poly which were listed on their web site:

Garden View = $254.14 per night
Lagoon View = $327.25 per night
Garden View Concierge = $331.50 per night
Lagoon View Concierge = $399.50 per night

These rates do not include the 11.5% sales & resort tax. I had to play around with several dates in order to obtain the rates for all room catagories. For most of the July dates that I requested, the only view available with the AAA rate was garden. For dates in August, all room catagories were available. You can call CRO directly and ask for AAA rates. Hope this info. is helpful.
