Well, I just have to brag about my 9 year old son. He has had a week to remember this week.
On Tuesday, his swim team had a meet in Jenks, Oklahoma. He won the 9 - 10 year old division in Freestyle, Backstroke, AND Butterfly. This was just his 2nd ever time to compete against others. His coach named him the Meet's Outstanding Swimmer. His team has another meet next Tuesday.
On Wednesday, he brought home a note saying that he would be receiving "something" at his elementary school's assembly on Thursday.
So, today, I go to his assembly. He had entered a poster for the school's "Anti-Drug" campaign. He won First Place. Then, his teacher handed out "Character Kid" awards. They do this each nine weeks. The "theme" for the Character Kid awards for this time was Respect and Responsibility. He got an award for BOTH. And then, last, but certainly not least, he received a certificate for being named to the Principal's Honor Roll - this is given for students who have Straight A's.
I am so proud of him that I just couldn't contain myself!!
