I have to tell you that I was trying to be the good Disney visitor and cancel my 50's Prime Time Cafe last Thursday when we decided not to visit the park that day. It was a 12 noon PS and I started calling Dining at 9am. I was on hold for 15 minutes 3 times when I just gave up. I had to call the front desk for something else anyway so I tried to cancel there. NO GOOD. Had to show up in person at a different desk. I finally got there by 11am to cancel. I feel bad that somebody else was trying to get this PS and I couldnt cancel. It should be an option by pressing the numbers into the phone and pressing "1" to cancel or something.

That's what I get for being a nice person sometimes!

Sorry you had such a tough time- it would be nice to have a one-touch "cancel" button on the Disney resort phones!

I just called WDW-DINE today to cancel an AR for our October trip, and it was easy as pie (but I wasn't calling at "peak" time). I also went ahead and confirmed all of our other ARs, just to make sure we were all set, and they were all there.

In May, I had just the opposite. We were in Epcot and decided we wanted to eat on the boardwalk the next night when we had a babysitter. I was able to walk into Big River Grille and Brewery and get a PS for the next night. Because of this, I needed to cancel my previous PS for Yachtsman Steakhouse. I called, got right through and the CM seemed very surprised and thanked me for being considerate enough to cancel and open it up for someone else.
